Reavers: Is it worth traiting "Quick Strikes"?

Hi, I am a reaver in training and just reached Rank 7 the other day. When looking through the skills vendor, I noticed a class trait called Quick Strikes that provides extra finesse and reduced attack duration. Is it worth equipping this trait? Because of my rank I have the empty slots to equip it (also not interested in buying skills from the store), but I've read some very old posts about it not working as intended. Not sure if that's still an issue. Would appreciate insight into this. Thanks.

The trait now works and i use it, especially on spars.
