So, to THANK the 10 year players, those who have been here since day 1... they get fireworks. Not a cool steed or title or anything to signify that without them none of us would be here... they get fireworks.

What a joke and a huge letdown. Suggestion, find a steed and add it or something cause I am not even a ten year player and I feel let down by what I feel is a total lack of respect to those players.

Update 20.1 is just mainly fixes and the Anniversary stuff, what did you want from them? Another raid? Don't see how that's a joke really.

Codemasters didn't actually work on the game. They just distributed it acrosss Europe and provided their own QA / Tech Support and server maintenance.

err and separate forums. The "final say" was still made by Turbine back across the pond when it came to actual content releases.

First: They are DRAGON fireworks! Like a DRAGON!!! DRAAAAAAAGGGGGONNNNNNNNNN!!!!! Personally, I think that's an awesome gift! Typically, the gift boxes only have a couple things. So many people feel they are entitled to a boatload of free stuff just for existing.

Second: Don't forget, there are usually a lot of presents to get during the festival, including a horse and cosmetics. In fact, the celebration itself is likely to be a terrific reward, and they say they have lots of things planned.

The reward for me is that the game has continued for 10 years, and is still beautiful, engaging, entertaining, and (at least for me) well worth it!

People are mainly dissapointed because there are years that have had superior rewards to 10 year rewards that should be really something in comparison to other years. 10 years is start of new ten after all.

Some highlights: 5y reward we got a steed, 7y first creep cosmetic fluff, 8/9 cosmetics and emotes.

Relatively speaking that is underwhelming. Can't yet comment about creep stuff (I hope that's good), but freep stuff is really meh considering what they have done in past and considering what 10 years as round number means to celebrating things way we humans do.

They know how many 10 year accounts are actively playing and spending cash. We do not.
So why would you deliberately alienate the majority of your player base by offering something amazing to a minority.

Better on a huge milestone to involve everybody and hopefully that is what they are doing.

So, I agree with Nyrion in that this attitude and bashing of the developer is more about your inflated opinions of yourself worth based
on the amount of time you have had an account. Very sad really. I had a little more respect for some of you, as I read the forums
nearly every day but that is some how tainted now by such a childish outlook.

Some may have true feelings, the rest just want something unique to brag about and alienate the rest of the players. I was expecting a lot more, it seems SSG learnt about the past year mistake (orb emote).

I think that the team is stretched to the max with all the work going on for the upcoming expansion, and they have mentioned lots of cool rewards being available from the scavenger hunt, so I personally want to cut them some slack on the 10-year reward.

It sounds like they're spreading the bounty around for everyone this year, and that's the real spirit of an anniversary celebration, isn't it?

Look this thread is not meant to be a bash SSG or the game thread. I as a player when I hit my 1 uear anniversary people were getting the 5 year box. I saw that steed and it was a "thing" for me to reach 10 years to get it.

Than for the 7 year I believe they got the woodland realm cloak, which matches the steed from that years festival... again something I look forward to getting.

Than in the 9 year box, they got the awesome blue orb emote. Sure we can buy the red one, but lore wise, the blue one is the way to go... so again, something to look forward to

As well as extra keys and other goodies.

But this, this gives me no incentive as a player to continue playing for ten years. This (and I talked to a few kinnies in teamspeak last night (one who happened to be thionking of comming back) and of all the ten year players not 1 was excited or felt appreciated by the company. These p;layers (not just my kinnies but all 10 year vets) were here to start off this adventure. Without them, and their investment this game would not be here now. So they deserve thanks/

Things they could have done

• Given Isuldurs cloak from the Session Play (loads of p;ayers want that cloak)
• repainted one of the hundreds of steeds in game and offered that
• Given a cool Titlte "Here and Back Again" or "It all began in a hole"

But just fireworks seems like an afterthought and true, they might be cool, but honestly, when do you see people launching fireworks other than when for a raid or instance to start. I play on different level toon all year long and if I see fireworks more than 4 times throughout the year I am lucky.

Than what you see other games have done for their 10 year vets when reaching that milestone, even our sister game DDO, this seems meh.

So yeah I was unhappy when I started this thread. I am actually upset now but glad I am not the only one out there that thinks this is very underwhelimg. And to those who say, oh you may get more... well the festival is 2 days away now... If they want people to log in, that info should have been out there a week ago. IMO this info was released only yesterday because they knew their would be backlash.

So yeah thank you SSG for giving me a game to play. But I feel you have lost touch with your customers

Im willing to pout money down that the cool rewards are the new cosmetic pets which say Anniversary on the pets collection are those rewards. And all of those are just pet skins of creatures in the game (albeit I do want the white stag with glowing eyes)

But 3 quest a week for 8 weeks seems to come pretty close to the 10 new pets (offer 1 at the festival and 1 in store) and there ya go

I get that, but chances are you arent going to weather ten more years. If you left once your chances of leaving again are pretty high. The players that have weathered the ten years of up and downs and downs should at least get more than fireworks. Like I said above multiple times, even a repainmted steed or title would have been nice. It also gave something for players to look forward to getting (as I mentioned the 5 year steed, cloak and emote)

You may be right, I haven't kept up on the news regarding upcoming pet collections.

Still, this sounds like some hefty work items all coming due for the team at around the same time, so again I personally am going to cut the team some slack this year.

The steed for five years part is correct. The other part of your post is false.

1. Dragon Fireworks (permanent launcher item)
2. Ten-year monster play character portrait frame
3. Ten-year token that can be exchanged at the appearance vendor for a cosmetic trait
