Quest: The Pit Fighter -- Day Two <--- how do I complete it?

    Here's my current stats:
I'm having a lot of trouble with The Pit Fighter -- Day Two. It's when the two mobs rush me at the same time -- they just overwhelm me. I can't run/kit, I can't turtle up, and my dps isn't high enough to just smack them down. Has anyone been able to complete it? If so, what was your gear? What are your stats, what buffs did you use?
As a level 1 burglar, Bilbo got a pony when he joined the Smaug The Dragon raid. Then he asked for leadership, looted the chest, assigned himself the 1st age Arkenstone and mailed it to an alt (Bilbo's a VIP so can mail from anywhere). They did some PvMP and an Epic Battle, then he apologized and gave the Arkenstone back because it wasn't BoA. He kept the pony.

Between each fight you get a short window of out of combat time to prepare for the next fight. You might want to use this window to get some Blue line HoTs rolling on yourself. 3 stacks of SoS is helpful for the easier fights. Fellowship's Heart could also be applied for one fight per quest.

I've not got that far yet on my mini, but didn't have any problem on my hunter so not expecting any problem on mini.
Just take them one at a time, stun/fear are your friend.

Unfortunately the two mobs seem to be immune to fear.

I died three times on this one last night before deciding that was enough LOTRO for the day (especially given the long ride back from the rez circle).

I tried red-line and blue-line and didn't get very far with either.

It's a really tricky fight for a minstrel given that you have limited room to kite and two mobs battering the bejusus out of you.

    Any tips would be welcome.

Of course you can kite. Back and forth.

Very easy fights for minstrel considering you can do all the pre combat preparing before each boss. Time to read what your skills do, nothing else to say tbh. One can easily heal well over 50k morale before dying as minstrel with preparation, and with just on move healing.

Yes, it's possible to kite - but as I said, "limited room".

We perhaps have different concepts of "very easy".

I'll be going back into it this evening, so I'll have a look at it again.

Out of interest Siipperi, what's your minstrel build? Finesse / Vit / Will etc? And what traits do you stack?

At that point I used quest gear with only source of finesse from traits, so basically no resistance lowering from finesse. I always play in red-yellow combo. Its all about knowing what your skills do, know order of using skills for best bursts and how to alter them before combat.

I'm always interested in learning - what rotations do you tend to go to?

Using stance swap to do anthem of 3rd age and fellowships heart before combat starts is always a thing to do on hard fights. That way you not only get easy ~30k healed with FH, but also get non induction double bolster courage in storage for future use when needed healing combine this with yellow line guaranteed crit heals, you heal ~9k heals every time you use healing skill. Skill altering with anthems been minstrel 101 for ages and I just shake my head when people bring out on minstrel discussions about stopping in pve for healing with long induction and don't understand meta of minstrel at all in other minstrel threads that have popped up as of late. This from PvE standpoint, PvP is wildly different.

I've tried this with blue primary trait up to triumphant spirit, then secondary red trait fully maxed out. I've tried red primary with yellow up to the double reflect damage and blue with bolster boosted. When you say red/yellow, which is primary and how high up in each do you go?

Even with full a full crit heal from Ioreth in blue, and SoS stacked up x3 and FH before battle, those guys are ripping right through me. I've also found that they appear to be immune to fear and stuns.

Can't circle strafe on these mobs, there's not enough room. And they aren't that slow in turning to chase you back down again. What gear do you have? Will you screenshot your stats?

As stated its all about knowing skills. But if you are having trouble the easy way would be to go in melody and just spam 3 ballads and coda over and over, be a little slow but you wont die

Run around the edge of the pit, jumping the corners. It makes the fight a bit easier. You're not limited to the bridge only. You can run on the stone edge of the pit.

Yellow stance always been a waste. Either go full warspeech or use blue stance periodically to get instant healing.

You can duo the pit fighter series, I tanked it for my Minstrel friend with my guardian.
