Chicken Run to Mordor with Mythgard and Bounders of the Shire.

Finish your chicken trainings then feather up as a Chicken and run to Mordor under the protection of Guardian extraordinaire Hologro, AKA Uncle Rooster, or come along as a Tender and help protect the chickens on their perilous journey to Mount Doom! Best finish your green egg trainings beforehand, if you want to feather up! Wigend will live stream this run. Discord will be used.

Sorries I didn't do a follow up prior to your posts, have been busy working on the paper, which I had to redo last minute because my original layout was too small for the content, so I had to start from scratch.

We had 14 chickens set out from Sandson's, and a plate full of Chicken Tenders. We had some Tenders that stayed through the entire run, and other folks that took shifts at various times as they could.

Thanks to all the Tenders that may be reading this! These runs would be much harder Free Winging it, if not impossible.

Because the /world chat function doesn't work for chickens still, we had one chicken fly off after we took the boat trip in the Far East with no word first, and we were all worried until I managed to get their attention with a tell. They were relieved, because they didn't know they needed to use the ~ when telling to a chicken player, and hadn't thought to use /regional to text in game. They had come along for the run, but were actually wanting to finish the quest out that way, so they were headed there instead, Free Winging it the rest of the way. I am happy to say that chicken later reported back that they had made it, though I do not have any screenies to share of their great victory Free Winging that last chicken leg of the quest.

One other chicken, our streamer, actually, who is fascinated with architecture, wandered away (even saying "I'm not gonna go far!") during a break in the run to look at buildings he hadn't seen before. So honed was his attention, that he somehow missed the GINORMOUS Mûmak off to his left. Though the giant oliphant didn't even notice the feathered creature rapidly approaching to mind it, our chicken in question's doom was sealed. As Tenders rushed to the chicken's side, it was already too late, as he had become Dinner, just from the Mûmak's AoE alone. It didn't even attack him directly. That chicken did bring his highest Free Folk in just after, and we continued the run.

An even dozen made it to the area we intended, all being in favor of the more dramatic leap into lava from the broken bridge, rather than another spot we inspected close by in the same area.

I did not get the names of all the tenders, unfortunately. I also did not get a shot of Wigund when he fell to the Mûmak. All eggs broke loose from the basket at that point in chat and on Discord and I was too distracted trying to make sure none of the chickens went over to look, but you can see the moment in a stream highlight found here just after the 3 minute mark (and Wigund's facial expression is so precious!): https://www.twitch.tv/videos/230107869?t=11s

Some of the screenies are on low res because it's easier to keep track of the other chickens when one is Tail Feathering (the last chicken in the line that keeps a beak count and knowing where all chickens are at all times in case someone lags or runs off for whatever reason), and I didn't have a simple keybind to swap settings.

Oh! And I should mention that Holo and I are thinking about doing an Amon Hen run in April and a Moria run in May. The latter is a long standing desire of mine, having a chicken in Moria. We'll post threads about those as it gets closer to time.

Any chance we can get a /world equivalent for chickens because I understand the problem with the timer reset for how long one has played and why that is needed on the Freep side?

Maybe something like /brood which functions the same, but is only available to chickens? Not sure if that'd be easier to set up.

Also, still waiting to hear if we can get a code based "Chicken Tender" title, which we had discussed ages ago.

I know you are a busy man, as are the rest of the staff, but both of these would be grand if possible.

Thank you for posting this! As one of the full run Tenders I had a blast. Even with Wigend's little, ah, moment (What Mumak? I don't see any Mumak...) it was a great run. The pictures are a nice touch as well, and I appreciate you giving some attention to the tenders. It is a labor of loving running the chickens to their destination. The excellent meal of fried chicken at the end is just a bonus.
