Does anyone want to share their thoughts on the SoS/IF set bonuses? The IF set bonus reminds me of the old Featured Instance bonus that many people liked to use even in the Throne raid, and this seems like an even more convenient version of that because you only have to use it once every 30 seconds as opposed to stacking a new one every 10 seconds.
The SoS bonus also sounds nice too though. I imagine that this bonus has a much higher skill ceiling as well, because it would involve constantly keeping the maximum buff on all fellowship members, but I imagine most people would only keep it up on the tank they are mainly healing.
My gut impression is that I think I want to use the IF bonus, but that might just be my play style. You don't have to heal damage that never occurs, and this is basically a fellowship-wide tome of defense. On the other hand, the SoS bonus seems nice as well because it's a 10% boost in heals going to whoever you manage to keep the buff up on. There is also the cynical side of me that thinks that some people might prefer the SoS bonus over the IF bonus because of the fact that it would boost their Combat Analysis numbers, while the IF boost would have no effect.
I have observed that more people seem to be using the SoS bonus more, but I'm not the kind of person that finds that kind of anecdote compelling.
Also, it seems rather obvious to me that by far, the biggest improvement minstrels get from gear is to get the Abyssal healing relics, but the set bonuses are worth discussing too.

It's possible someone will pop up with a detailed analysis and prove otherwise but...
Inspire fellows for me hands down.
Why ?
Its ultra easy to maintain and its there when you need it with minimal effort.
I can't say the same for SoS set.The bonus in healing is too small to make it worth it imo.
All that said , for raids with 2 minstrels on the same group , it won't hurt to have both ; d
