    I don't think you can delete your account. You can cancel your account though (which means you stop paying) but the account will still be there.

    If you upgraded from the trial to a paid subscription, you can just log into your Turbine account. There will be an option to cancel the subscription if you have a subscription. If you did not upgrade the trial yet, then the account will be suspended when the trial is over (date will be shown in your Turbine account). If you want the account to be stopped before the end of the trial, you can contact Account Management for that, but even they will not delete an account, only suspend it so you can't log into it or reactivate it without contacting them.

    If you are F2P or Premium then there is no need to delete anything...other than uninstalling the game.

    How to delete community account

    Hello!
    Is there any way to delete this account? Two years ago I deleted my character, uninstalled the game and deleted my turbine account. But I haven't figured out how to delete my account on here. Is there any way?

    Your Turbine account is not deleted. It is still there it holds your Lotro account and your Lotro forum account. All you have to do is install the Lotro software. Log into Lotro using the user id and password that you used to login into the forums to write this post.

    Like most companies Turbine will continue to hold your personal information even when there is no longer a valid reaon to do so. They will insist there are reasons for doing this but I can assure you from personal experience with Blizzard if you are really ultra serious about making them delete your account details you can do so. It will usually require a legal letter explaining the Data Protection Act and threatening to report their actions as a material breach with all the fines and bad publicity this entails. Blizzard fought this for 7 months before being forced to fully delete an account, pay legal fees and a significant sum of compensation.

    They may try to tell you that the EULA or T&C's give them this right, They are wrong. You cannot be made to wave your legal protection under the DPA. It would be like the EULA stating that by playing you agree to have your house burned down. Afraid not.

    Perhaps companies have improved and now will actually fully delete all personal account inormation if you show a desire to persue it and not be bullied off. If not then I'm afraid you need to either accept it or settle in for a lengthy legal fight.

    I notice this thread has been necro'd multiple times, but to answer the question: If you have an account-related issue, or want to speak to Account Support, you can do so through support.turbine.com. You can now cancel your subscription in-game through the LOTRO Store.

    Is canceling a subscription the same as have account information deleted?
    A distinct difference.

    Seeing how the info you gave 2 years ago is no longer valid. What is the SSG policy?
