I think it was just me seeing things oddly.
I now get the coords. There are actually 2 different items you are looking for.

MAWorking had the highest post count on the pre-beta LOTRO forums. He was truly an icon and clearly, hasn't changed a bit. -Meghan/aka Patience

Old Tome -> First Page -> 2nd Page (Mirrormere) -> Scraps of Pages (numbered and in Old Chests)

That doesn't sound right, what's the point of the Nameless clue then?

Once you translate the scraps you will know.

It helps clear things up in the translated stuff.

I assume that this event is only for high level players from reading the thread today.

That's a shame, I've been looking forward to the "secret event" since it was posted, but my highest character is only 68.

What has lead people to search pages from some chests? All info I remember seeing was "You should follow the clues of the Rune Scraps." And here I am, wondering what the 'Nameless' in the 2nd scrap could mean. Tried nameless mobs and Durin's Bane (although IIRC it was only the elves that used the phrase Nameless Enemy of it). And according to my LotR appendices, in the 1st page in Erebor, the 6th rune translates as 'u:' instead of 'z', as Hallandil too pointed out. I wonder why that is.

But yeah... how did you guys come to look for the pages from the Mirrormere onwards? Just saw someone finding random pages, and went looking for yourself? Did I miss something in the poem?

It went: Old Tome -> Page in Erebor -> Page at Mirrormere -> Someone posted in this thread they found a scrap of a page in an Old Chest -> Everyone searching for more of these -> Finding them all to complete a poem (after deciphering by Elisapee) -> us searching things mentioned in the poem (and having no luck to find one of the components)

And just so people don't waste their time:

Barz and Zurm in the Rift: No
    Old Gnawer: No
Foundations of Stone near Dar Narbugud and Dark Delvings: No
Dar Narbugud: No (At least to Blind One)
Dark Delvings: I didn't check but I dunno.. prolly not

The most famous Nameless thing I know of is the Watcher in the Water ~ so perhaps there is something at the Black Pool?

Anyone figured out the prerequisite to start this? I am at the bench by Grotur and the old tome is not there. I am 115. Mordor is done. Have the first dwarf quest for allegiance complete as someone suggested might be required.

Really frustrating sitting here not being able to participate and not know why. Blue name help please?

Did you approach where the tome is? It only activates when you get near it. (Activated when I was doing the daily for clicking on barrels)

Like I said above, I had to complete today's episodic quest from Thorin, "Loose Tongues in Lake Town". After I turned that in (and only after I turned that in) I was able to grab the first page.
