I really don't want to dig through 10 pages of spoilers but I guess it's either that, or ask here.

I just logged in and there is no mention of an event.

I've heard of secret events, but this is really secret.

Should I just wait for this to come up in a quest chain, or is this something I need to stumble onto ?

Go one floor above the keg quest giver in Erebor and it should pop up for you, if you've done the intro to the Dale-Lands where you talk to Thranduil.

For me a good riddle is one that you can't solve for some time but then, when you find (or you told) the solution, you exclaim: "Wow! How is it possible I didn't find out it earlier? It's so obvious!"

When you have 5+ possible answers on why the riddle has this solution and not another, it's... ehm... not a very good riddle imo. For some reason I have a feeling that the first person who found the last page at Nar's Peak made it accidentally by spamming "delete" key in all the significant areas of Middle-Earth instead of solving a puzzle

It would be really nice if an author of this quest (was it MadeOfLions or DrOctothorpe?) come out and explain what exactly was his idea behind the "Nameless" clue

Apparently you need to get everyone to leave the room for a certain amount of time (maybe a couple minutes) to get Grotur to reset.

Yeah, I'd like a confirmation on that too. I'll leave my 'treasure hunter' character on the shores of Mirrormere until I either figure out the link between those two runic words on that pedestal (the paper with the word nameless + the MBÔ(NG)D* or BREGO in other translation key, on the pedestal) and Nár's Peak, or someone gives a reasonable explanation .

I read all the quest texts concerning Nár and his Peak, and didn't see any mention of anyone calling him Nameless. It's possible that I missed something, though, because I am in kinda hurry most of the days...

And I'm not sure about the thing him forgetting names either .. it seems as if he, in his crazy state, is actually pulling persons, monsters and names out of his imagination or memories, and connecting them to people in real life, instead of not remembering any names as such. And when he gets sober for a while, he just doesn't recognize all the people around him because he wakes up from this stupor. That would never lead me to him in nameless business.

I'll get to the finish line eventually, but I want to do it in some sort of 'from clue-to-clue' order, as I understand it should be doable as well.

    * might be the last rune is GW .. can't see it clearly enough

So can you still start this, or was it only yesterday? I can't imagine they woudl do something like this with a mount reward that's only doable one day. All the players who weren't available to play that day.. Also is it soloable?

It has already been confirmed by Cord that this will still be available.
Yes it is soloable, few level 58 mobs and a single level 115 throughout the questline.

Also just want to share my thanks for the quest.

Cord confirmed that this quest chain is available from now on, no time limit. You need to finish Intro to NMW to pick up the quest though (I also had to literally jump on top of the NPC giving the first quest to start it as he had no ring over his head and there was no scrap of paper near him - that was right after the event went live though so a relog would prolly help as well). You also must have Moria xpac.

There's a nice screenshot on the page 4 of this thread showing the starting point.

It's completely soloable, you only need to fight one serious mob(and some lvl 58 ones).

Access to Calas Caladhon is reputation based. You have to own Lothlorien xpac. The "inner" is the name of the stable, not the house/palace in trees.

That thing completly ruined my mood about this nice treasure hunt.

I mean, i dont like to put efforts on a thing that i find is completly random...

Anyways.... good idea, thanks for the fun and the efforts. i hope you will do this kind of things more often.

I played some MMO (Ultima Online docet) where some Staff members were focused only on this kind of quests. Would be a nice way to entertain playerbase.

I totally agree those In Game Masters (IGMs) brought an extra element to the game which the player base appreciated. I remember them adding more forges in Bree so player characters had more space to repair and armour and weapons for new players who could not repair their own. That was where I gained my first silver enchanted weapon!
They later evolved into Event Moderators (EVMs) and Europa was lucky enough to have a roleplayer as theirs. He would take time when not running events in game around the Lord British story arc to attend player run events etc.

Certainly by todays games UO is very old, but it still leads the way as far as many things go, such as housing customisation, and the player run RP community they supported.

You need 1 Khazad-gold ingot, 1 Black Adamant(not shard) and a piece of Gnawed Metal from Gnawer boss room in Skumfil instance.

Great event, even if the clues were too obscure for me to solve it myself. I did manage to finish it, by standing on the shoulders of giants as it were. A big thumbs up to those who solved it, and so quickly as well! Nicely done.

You must be at the correct point in the quest chain, when the second dwarf in Othrikar asks for the ingredients. I run Skumfill early on when I deciphered the message and the metal piece wasn't there.

Also, a friend of mine had problems getting it, said he had to search the room a bit, turn around etc. It is selectable, by spamming DEL I was able to see it even before entering the room - maybe it has several respawn places?
