I have tried running this instance 3 times this week and keep failing at the first boss. I have tried it as dps and get overwhelmed by adds during the final wave when the boss is at 1 million morale and my big blasts are on CD. I have tried it as heals and I can't keep up. From the advice I've dug up, it seems like dps is the way to go, but I'm not sure if my gear sucks or I'm just doing things wrong. Between his natural -50% tactical damage and the buffs the adds give him, I feel I can hardly make a dent in him at the end. Should I try to cc as many adds as I can in the final wave, burn the boss and hope he dies before the cc wears off?
Recently tried it with warden and RK few days ago so group was indeed accomodating for LM but nevertheless, for last boss I tried what at 85 too and went out to light cocoons and pillars. Lag is lesser nowadays walking on those spider threads and with SI preventing roots it was quite fast setting things on fire. Took me I think 3 tries, did go out once more to check because duh I didnt pay attention and count. Once you light all cocoons go back to tank to help a bit (debuffs, hot, pet etc.) and then back out again for pillars remaining. Try have tank and dps across each other near cave entrance like always but not too far away and have tank help pull adds when they spawn.

I've tried 2 times on lm , both times i had a tank warden.
Between support/dps , dps is defo 'better'. If tank is struggling just use water lols and beacon... Along with the debuffs its enough to keep any decent tank alive..
I did throw a couple blinding flash on the archer wights i believe...
Other than that , aoe the adds down because they give him -inc damage buffs...
Thing is , you must not be THE dps. You need to join 3mans as support... For this instance , just help aoe thigns down to speed it up ( LM is really good for that nowadays ) while debuffing with ancient craft / raven / firelore etc.
PS.Still , it's so much easier than it was back when it launched : DDD
I've tried with guard/beorn, cappy/hunter, and cappy/DPS warden. There don't seem to be a lot of warden tanks around, so cappy tank seemed like a good idea to help with heals. I was thinking cappy/champ might be best for tons of AOE, but the advice I read (from 85 cap) was guard/cappy or guard/RK. I'll see if I can dredge up a warden tank and give it another go. Thanks!
Depends on the people really, not the class. Guard and captain can tank it fine with LM. I assumed we are talking about the last fight otherwise the first boss especially with LM is easy.
Just try to be fast with torch.
Well I tried again today with a warden tank, plus a hunter who had never run Webs before, and it went much better. Got the first boss first try. Then a few wipes at the last boss while learning how to torch everything in time but we got the challenge done. I agree it's more about the people than the class. Anyway, Webs is checked off my bucket list. Thanks for the advice folks!
