Burglar LIs

Levelling up my burglar which I haven't touched since RoI, I am wondering if I can get by with 3 LIs for both red and yellow builds. Which legacies are you using for the weapon and red/yellow bags respectively?

IMHO it really just boils down to your playstyle. There are only a few legacies I'd consider "worthless".

Out of the gate though, I've spent mounds in mithril respeccing. Just now got an LI build that I consider "optimal" for me both landscape and in a group. (I run blue/red landscape because I duo with a friend most times, and blue/deep yellow for instances and Moors).


I know that's really vague... but I WILL say this: Reveal Weakness Inc DMG + Dust in the eyes miss chance FTW!

I'm not an experienced Burglar by any means, but here are the 3 legacies I consider very useful for both red and yellow;

Tool:

Reveal Weakness Incoming Damage Debuff
Skills Critical Multiplier
Addle Tactical Damage Debuff

Weapon:

Cunning Attack Bleed Damage
Critical Chain Skills Critical Multiplier
Burglar Bleed Damage

You're not losing anything important by using hybrid tools, especially since there are no good 'yellow-only' legacies imo.

I'm using the following legacies on my tools:

Dust in the Eyes Miss Chance
Reveal Weakness Incoming Damage
Tricks Duration
Gamble Chance
Skills Critical Multiplier
Addle Tactical Damage Debuff
Positional Damage

Red Weapon:

Burglar Bleed Damage
Critical Chain Skills Critical Multiplier
Coup de Grâce Damage
Cunning Attack Bleed Damage
Subtle Stab Damage Multiplier
Critical Response Skill Damage
Feint Attack Damage

Yellow Weapon:

Burglar Bleed Damage
Critical Chain Skills Critical Multiplier
Trick and Trick Removal Damage
Cunning Attack Bleed Damage
Subtle Stab Damage Multiplier
Critical Response Skill Damage
A Small Snag/Quite A Snag Damage

I see with the tools you posted there is indeed no big loss in either build, just the Surprise Strike damage legacy which I can't say right now if much useful for red or not. Need to run parses and check rotations first.

What skills is gamble chance affecting in red or yellow lines?
I was thinking of putting Agility in its place.

It's for Provoke Mezz I would guess - I use exactly the same legacies on my bag and that's why I slot Gamble. In Red you probably want to trait deep Blue for Exposed Throat.

Oh, that makes sense! I'm not max level yet, so I'm missing points to get the provoke mezz on my red line. Thanks for the explanation!
