    Suggestion: Change of Wizard's Fire

    Hey Lore-Masters of Middle Earth!

Right now Wizard's Fire is just a damage cast with no effects, such as dot or any synergy with other skills. Gust of Wind took the role now which Wizard's Fire had before. But I was thinking if Wizard's Fire could have a certain effect again? What do you think about my suggestion?

In my opinion the rotation should be: Fire Embers (for fire dot) -> here comes the change: Wizard's Fire will stack the dot and make it to 2 (like we already have now, but only with 30% chance). But the chance to increase the number of dots should be featable significantly higher than 30%, something around 50%. We don't need 100%, but please higher than 30% :P When Wizard's Fire stacks up the dot, it will have a cool down of 5 seconds -> Gust of Wind keeps the effect and increases the dot damage.

What do you think about my suggestion? I just want to see Wizard's Fire having an effect again

If you mean to give Wizard's Fire its old use again but only as a chance and not a guarantee, I don't really think it's necessary, but if it was to be done, I think it should do it on crit, not just another random chance to apply. Personally, I would much rather see Wizards Fire be given a very potent DoT when used on a flanked target, to make flanking more useful again. If this new DoT was as potent as the hotspot DoT placed when using Lightning Storm, I think that would work pretty well. It'd be nice if the trait in red-line to increase the duration of DoTs affected this new DoT as well, but that may just be wistful thinking.

Leave Wizards Fire as it is, we almost lost it a few updates ago.

Remember, Wizards Fire is the ONLY on the move skill we have.

It also makes a good pulling tool.

Also, with the massive damage hunters do it is the only skill that is near immediate that we have and can use before a hunter kills one of our targets.
    Ujest - 140 Lore-master, Opun Tia – 107 Warden, Tummi - 105 Captain, Veneur - 75 Hunter, Cneasai - 66 Minstrel, plus alts and mules
Officer, Pipeweed and Ale, Arkenstone (formerly – Friends of Frodo, Vilya)

    and Star Citizen…

Main purpouse of Wizard´s fire was self heal on flank event. In old days it really mattered, there was no Water-lore and it was potent heal. Today it brings heal and power heal, but the heal is so weak that for the most LM players it is non-existing.

So, rather than bringing a new effect to it make flanking potent again and make water-lore not able to target ourself as by beacon of hope.

It's bad enough I had the wizard's fire legacy maxed out and had to waste 795 LP on a replacement scroll and burn a few IXP pills.

Yes, Please. I spam this skill a lot while on the move and would hate to see any kind of CD on it.

Since the last change(s) i have much more trouble with my LM. I m blue traited and , usually, i send my pet to mob(s) wait few seconds and attack. With 1 mob, no prob to kill but with 2-3 mobs i have to (target and) send pet on each mob before using burning ember+gust of wind. Long and tedious. Have you any tips to keep mobs away or on the pet. Thx in advance.

    (sry with my english).

Well, there is a lot of you can do, but you need to understand that you can still get aggro from your pet easily.

    • Use Saber-tooth with its aoe attacks. While you would be killing 1 target, he could hold on others. Or use AoE skills of lynx. They have longer cd, but releasing and calling them again reset cd on their skills.

    • Use CC to its full potential. You have blinding flash. You have delayed roots in cracing earth. Just don´t use roots on ranged enemies.

    • Send pet on 1 target, but kill other target in mean time. Combo Burning Embers + Lightning Strike deals a lot of damage. Light of Rising Dawn stuns the target, thus reducing amount of damage you would get. Same with Bane Flare.

Thx for those suggestions. I will try to change pet and maybe i will try to be red-traited but all my llegacies are blue-traited oriented, but that s another prob. If you have a legacy at lvl 74 ( max) and you change with a scroll.... DO you have a new leg at max 74 also?

The unlocked level will remain 74, thus you won´t need Scrolls of Empowerment. But you will need the XP to level the new legacy from 1 to 74.

The legacied for pets are only needed when you are summoning the pet. Therefore it is better to have special book just for summoning the pets.

(and now we completly derailed the thread)
