Make this server have slower expansion releases?

I heard the expansions were going to be released four months apart on the legendary servers. Would anyone else like a slower release schedule? I would love at least a year between expansion releases. Four months just seems way too fast. Ideally, I would like two years, but I would be happy with a year.

Anyways, am I the only one that thinks four months is just too fast?

I'm completely on board with you. I believe most people would agree, otherwise what is the point to reach end game if you can't invest your time into end game content. I would love to hear more people's input.

Disagree, I joined Ithil due to the queue lines on Anor, not that it would have a different ruleset. 4 months is a lot of time even at a very casual rate to get to 50, and there is nothing saying that you need to be at 50 for when Moria opens (heck... it may be advantageous to not be in the first wave flooding that place). I think 4 months is a decent balance point for when a lot of people will be bored w/ CD, BG, and Rift runs and eager to move onto the next thing.

It's too soon to know. The best timing might be three months, might be six months, will probably be different for each advancement.

I think it's more important to find a bunch of friends who don't mind doing odd things with you for fun, in those days and weeks when you're waiting for the next advancement.

I don't know what the proper schedule should be, but I definitely believe a less aggressive schedule would be better.

The Rift, Urugarth and Carn Dum have 1 week locks. Only a small portion of the people who signed up for the legendary servers would have more than a few runs of these awesome instances. The idea of fully gearing a character or several characters is difficult to imagine. Then, should you manage it, the gear you worked so hard and obsessively for would be obsolete so quickly.

Give us a little time to enjoy the old end game content. Especially SOA which is a great deal of material to work through and enjoy.

Four months seems a bit short to me as well. I want to experience old-school end game without feeling like it's my main server. A year seems a bit long though. I don't need to get multiple classes through it. Adding Moria after four months would had an immense amount of content as well, likely resulting in people slipping farther and farther back, never quite reach end game.

My kin has had a lot of old players return and play most of the weekend. Time will tell if they stick around long enough to run Helegrod or the Rift, but it's been very encouraging. Adding Moria too soon would almost assuredly have them leave.

More than 4 months would be nice

I would agree - I think 4 months is a bit fast. I work during the week so am not able to 'power level' and I actually prefer taking my time questing and enjoy the story. There is a lot of 'end game' content at level 50 and to enjoy it all I think maybe a 6 month wait would be better. Again - just my opinion but enjoying coming back after being away for a while.

It would be nice if they made one server for the raiders and the other for us slowbies.

Signing up for this server wanting to avoid the queue and not have a different ruleset is a valid point. If they allowed transfers between the legendary servers, or opened a new slower release schedule server, would that work for you? Or are you against different legendary servers having different content release schedules in general?

They should make an Ultimate Challenge server so that the best of the best would scream for nerfs.

I'd like a much slower release as well, four months seems way too fast.

I'd love for the releases to be slower and for everything to be tuned up to a higher difficulty. I want something I can fully engross myself in.

As just a guess, I think there would be a large server imbalance if both legendary servers had two different expansion rates. If there were no queues ever on both servers, I have no issue with different server rule implementations. But I would dare say the majority would be on the shorter cycle and that would have a reduced quality of life with current server 'capacity' and how much of a bottleneck mob spawns.

At this point... open up a new server with a 6 month, 9 month, year long schedule and advertise it as that. I was in Anor's queues with a level 15 champ (not too much of an investment... but that's still several hours) above 600 repeatedly logging out and back in trying to get in. I restarted on Ithil exactly to avoid that.

    Agree

I have to say when I heard that 4 months was going to be next release I was a bit disappointed. Life is busy for a lot of people and I thought the whole idea of this was to play through it and relive the original experience, how are people supposed to do all the class deeds and current content in four months? what about when MoM comes out..no one, unless you are retired and only play Lotro 8 plus hours a day, can get through that with a normal schedule in four months, I don't want to be doing RoR in less than a years time.
I say slow it down. people are already doing end game content that wasn't out the first month originally.
this is a great idea but seems like a opportunity for SSG to get people to use the store for items they already have on reg servers..like vault space, mounts etc, if I have to always be behind the current content due to real life commitments then I will just keep playing regular servers which is disappointing.

I think what would be ideal if the server capped at 50 and then a new legendary server opened for each expansion with the option to merge your toons or keep them. I admit I dont know if that would be fiscally possible, but could be a solution to move up at ones own pace. Though I could see possible population issues for out leveled servers.
Where did all the common sense go?

Not looking to raid here, so how slow or fast they go is not important to me. I am mostly here to poke around with kin members and do some of the early content together. I would have just as soon made a new character on Landy. Seems unwise to stretch the players so thin again. If my time becomes short, I will stick with Landy and all the work I put into my characters there.
