    Anor housing needed...

Anor housing in Bree-land is in desperate need of new neighborhoods as almost all deluxe houses are gone... I think there might be only 1 left. There are 2-3 times more neighborhoods on the live servers so it would make sense to add more on Anor.

I have 2 favorite deluxe houses that I own on the live servers and would like to be able to own one of them on Anor, so please add a ton more neighborhoods.

IIRC the formation of new housing neighborhoods is automatic when a certain % of the homes in other neighborhoods are taken. That said, I agree that they should probably review the algorithm to specifically check for home TYPES. With all of us as long term vets, we have probably become used to our deluxe homes and the like. Good luck getting more open (perhaps today's restart will run the algorithm for the homestead).

It's not automatic, someone has to manually add some more neighborhoods. That said: They don't have to reboot for it, they just enable a bunch more neighborhoods and off it goes!

As for this happening soon-ish..... It's only 1 more working day till Thanksgiving (tomorrow), so I wouldn't count on this week. Hopefully someone catches this and does a quick enable, because yes it IS certainly needed.

    This is incorrect.

    From the wiki:

"Each server starts with a small number of neighborhoods. When all the houses in one neighborhood are sold, a new instance is generated and more houses become available for purchase. While this process is expansive, it is not indefinite. As a result, some servers, such as the highly populous Brandywine, have had issues with shortages of certain housing types."

    Source: https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Housing

So no it doesn't require someone manually opening them. It requires the current housing to be bought out.

Our housing system does in fact automatically roll out new neighborhoods either when there is a shortage of overall housing, or when there is a total lack of a specific house type in one of the homesteads (e.g. no deluxe Bree-land houses remaining). However, this system does not respond quickly to sudden increases in housing demand, or take into account the varying desirability of specific addresses or other factors. Therefore we can (and do) also manually roll out new neighborhoods.

It looks like the automatic system recently rolled out a Bree-land neighborhood, but I have rolled out a few additional Bree-land neighborhoods on Anor, as there were still relatively few Deluxe houses available. I hope you find your perfect home :-)

There is, as Rhyltran referenced, a limit to the total number of neighborhoods, at which point neither the automatic nor manual process can address a house type shortage. At that point it takes development time and a game update to make more homes available.

Thank you! And thank you for correcting me on the automatic rollouts of more neighborhoods, I didn't know.

    Have fun buying houses everyone!
