Game minimizing and freezing

I just recently bought a brand new laptop with Windows 10 on it and installed LOTRO. When I open the game, it will load as far as the character selection screen, with music and animations playing fine, but I literally cannot click anywhere. When I open up OBS, however, I am able to click the different buttons on the character selection screen, but the window minimizes constantly, so that I barely have time to click on anything before it minimizes again. I have searched all over the internet and so far have not found anything that seems to match or fix my problem. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to get the game working properly?

Have you tried:

• Reinstalling
• Rebooting your computer
• Checking your RAM/CPU usage
• Alt + Tabbing back in

I am having this same problem and have tried all suggestions nothing as of yet works. If you have found a solution please let me know. Thanks

This sounds like another application trying to take control rather than a Lotro problem. Try shutting down non-essential tasks in task manager and trying again.

Yeah I would recommend killing off as many programs in your Task Manager as possible and trying to figure out what is conflicting with LOTR.
