I can't seem to get this setup to work. Got a couple of questions.
Is combat analysis necessary or can it be done with Buff bars alone?
When I try to use combat analysis. It won't work. gives me loads of errors.
EDIT!! I got it working but it only displays Searing Words T0 for everytime. No tiers are displaying.
It can display 2x Searing Words T0 when in fact on vitals it is Searing Words T3
Any idea's how I can get this working?
Hopefully you've allready got it working by now But to answer your questions:
You have to use CA to be able to track debuffs on Mobs.
You have to make a entry for each tier of Searing Words in Combat analysis.
NOTE: Pay attention to the higher tiers (>0) of Searing Words have another naming convention.
8 Repeat steps 4-7 for the other tiers, except for one difference: 'Applied by' should be 'Extreme Heat: Searing Words - Tier x', replace x with the tier of Searing Words. This should be copy-pasted

Hello, I have the same question. Want to track Distracting Flame and Scatching Mockery with the Buffbars Effect Slider but it resets with every DoT tick.
The dots are set to 'remove' themselves, you'd need to delete those entries so that they instead 'conflict with' themselves. What 'conflict with' does is that the buffbar won't appear or be recreated if there's already a buffbar for one of the listed dots.
That would cause a different problem, which is that the buffbar won't reset even if you actually refresh the dot. This was no problem for Searing Words because it's impossible to refresh it anyway, but other dots are more problematic.
The way BuffBars work is that they search the combat log for phrases that you've told it to look for. So an alternative approach would be to let the BuffBars trigger on the initial hits only, and keeping them listed under 'remove' so they reset every time you land an initial hit.
The requirement for this to work is that the combat log posts a different message when the skill is first applied than when the dots tick, which unfortunately rarely is the case. And you won't be able to identify which tier is running. I don't remember getting anything useful out of setting up BuffBars for the other dots.
My CombatAnalysis/BuffBar combo won't let me tell it how long each one is. So it counts the searing procs from 0 seconds until whenever instead of it starting at 10 seconds and workings its way down to 0.
