I didn`t play LOTRO for almost 10 years and came back a few days after Anor started. Was looking forward to challenging raids and PVMP. Was quite suprised how easy everything was - grinded all teal/purp Nadhin pieces. Stopped doing any instances after i realized that there was NO GOOD LOOT at all. Stood around in Bree a few weeks. Unsubbed the day the Community Manager said there would be no PVMP. Only thing i regret is that I actually spend money on this experiment. It`s a shame how they wasted the chance they had with these servers...

They didn't say there would be no pvmp ever, just not likely for 2019.

No PVMP - good, that eliminates that whole constantly-whining segment of players.
For 'some' going on raids or doing trickier content is for the ~gameplay~ aspect of playing a game, not for 'loot'.
One of the main emphasis on the Legendary servers is crafting, NOT great 'drops' via raids, that should be obvious by now.

Well, it doesn't say future PvP release is ruled out.

I look forward to a RE-RE-Release of PvMP in the 'Moors or even, dare I dream big?: A ***--NEW--*** LOTRO PvP BATTLEGROUND AREA!!! Get players pumped for server slaughter once more.

My old kin from the dark ages, seemed to think it was fun coaxing me on creepside 'Moors slaughter (my-###-hard) runs. Endless death seems like meh. O.o

Forward on, it was in the 'Moors I discovered my besty hangout fun-time game-play happy-happy joy-joy Nirvana. Killing other players playing orcs and scum is FUUUUUN

PvP lets you road test all the ball-breaking hrs of effort you sink into your amour/weapon/beefcake/traity-deedy-legacy-famey-fashiony character build.
You can slot other weapons to mix it up in play. You get infamy that lines your pockets with not only destiny points, you get boasting rights (or a nice little symbol by your name to show everyone you may or may not be important).

I elect a RE-RE-RETURN or RELEASE NEW PvP content. We're stagnating in some quarters here, let us use these skills on each other. Please

we all know the core game mechanics have not changed on the LS. So PvMP there would be like watching the same trainwreck, only in slow motion.

altho,it might be interesting to see a r1 fully store bought and buffed creep (thats some $$$ SSG!) with all the skills destroy level capped freeps and the resulting river of tears crying for "balance"

Add in the fact that SSG does not care about "clubbing" or "rank farming" also means you could be looking at hi ranked creeps out there with massive morale pools before you know it

basically i think the work involved somehow making creeps viable for level capped LS is more than they would care to undertake at this time.

Really hope that PvP actually happens; could be really good on here actually.

My theory is that freeps would be way, WAY too overpowered compared to current code creeps. With Nadhin armor, essences, slotting the right trait points, a level 60 freep is a LOT, and I mean a LOT more powerful than its creep counterpart of level 60. There have of course been many code changes along the way, and they have all been geared to what the next end-game level is, which in the current code is level 120 for creeps. If they were to simply level cap the creeps at 60, the freeps would literally wipe their behinds with them, they would simply not stand a chance. Creeps will just stop playing because they would pretty much be limited to a perma Grams camp.....

I'm thinking the "golden" moment is the introduction of Helms Deep, so with the creeps at level 95 and the freeps going towards 95 from 85. This was when the trait trees were first introduced, and a LOT changed then in the back end code, and I am guessing the code for creeps also changed to deal with this change on the freep side.

Therefore, with the hint that they would not introduce PvMP in 2019, and that it would "make more sense at a higher level", I am thinking that they won't release PvMP until they got to Helms deep.

In short, this is my theory for the legendary servers:

    July 2019: Mirkwood/Enedwaith.
    Nov 2019: Isengard/Great River.
Mar 2020: Rohan/Wildermore. (Rohan housing introduced).
July 2020: Helms Deep/Fangorn. (PvMP added to legendary servers).
Moved from Riddermark to Arkenstone on 9/29/2015!

How about one server with no PVP?

I would like to plead for one server with no pvp. I've enjoyed pvp in the past, but would like to play on a server where pvp doesn't spill over into world chat. Doesn't seem like too much to ask for one pvp-free server.

World chat is bad enough with or without PvMP. You can simply blacklist people with just 2 clicks, I can't make PvMP happen on my own. Let's exclude a game feature that's been in the game since late SoA because of some overly sensitive people. What a great idea (not)

I personally don't care much about PvMP on the LS anymore. It wouldn't be any different, so they should just use the resources to improve PvMP on the live servers instead.

Well, it would. The whole point of the Limited Servers is that there's a completely different PvE end-game that contributes to the PvP. Different sets, different trait point limits, different builds, different grind to freep end-game (which is the most important). Nobody in their right mind is going to waste time going from 0 to 120 and put themselves through all the grind needed to become viable in PvP just to play freep, whereas L60 with a much smaller grind? Definitely. Same goes for creeps and the insane amount of commendations they need now to compete. I recently tried out an old R9 warg I'd pretty much left alone since Helm's Deep was released, and even I couldn't be bothered to sit through the grind to make it a threat again.
