Every now and again, this game drops a little gem; a moment that is just magical. Yesterday, this quest was just that. If anyone hasn’t done this quest yet, you must go and do it because it is just wonderful. Go to Aelin Veren in North Ithilien and take the quests to question the Haradrim prisoners.
I’ll leave a gap so I don’t spoil it for people - if you haven’t done it, don’t read on - come back here when you have ...
This quest just touched my heart. Finding the lost Mumak in the woods and coaxing him to safety - and the lovely description in the quest text at the end when he wraps his trunk around you in thanks - beautiful. I called my kids down from bed to do the quest with me and they loved it. They called him “Stompy” and were shouting “Bye Stompy!” as his big behind walked off into the distance. Just one of those really beautiful moments in LOTRO that makes the game so special. Kudos to whichever dev wrote this quest because it is brilliant

I’m an alien, an illegal alien: I’m a Gondorian Captain in Rohan...

I've only taken one character through North Ithilien, but I thought I had completely exhausted the area of quests. Would you believe I started the quest vector at Aelin Veren and somehow stopped just short of this one?
Big thanks for posting! I now have something to really look forward to when I next sub my account.
