Thanks, Cord!
Thanks, Cord!
Cord, any update on you looking into the chance of adding seasonal figment barterers to the event schedule?

Are these supposed to be run at the same time or is the lootbox one supposed to say 11/14 to 11/19?

I notice there is no treasure hunt listed for the latter half of 2019. Has there already been two events this year?
It's been 4 weeks since Summer Festival ended, and honestly I still have a bunch of Barter Fish stinking up my Bags! Any chance we could have a 1-week Summer Encore, before Farmer's Faire? ...![]()

Really need a summer encore![]()
Curator has returned through September 3rd, shutting off at 3:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) on September 4th.
Hi, Cord, I've been wondering: Why again are the barter vendors appearing only for a small time and not all the time? It would make much more sense in my opinion, if they were here all the time, so if a player wants to buy something s/he can do so and would not have to wait until the vendor reappears - which in my case mostly means that I'll forget about what I wanted to buy and save the money/currency. Or is there some reason behind this that I just can't see right now?
There's some good in this world, and it is worth fighting for.
It's a seasonal vendor. There will be new items in the future and "old" things will get cheaper I think. And when it's limited, people care more about that and are looking forward when he returns. I like the idea and I don't want to have the curator all the time standing in bree. It's a vendor who travels around Middle Earth![]()
When Curator first appeared in Middle-Earth was NOT announced as a "seasonal" vendor (item inventory in Curator was mainly the one already present in the Keeper of Mysteries buyable with ash, later ash was removed and transformed to embers/motes/figments). Ive no problem with a "travelling" vendor, but, if its the situation, announce the different points in Middle-Earth the Curator will visit, the dates for each location, and maintain it ALL time up.
IMHO vendors appearing for so short time window is ridiculous.

Moved from Riddermark to Landroval on 2/10/1015!
Extra summer festival very much appreciated.
Thanks for the encore! Much appreciated.

Still nothing about repeating Skrimish Event? After success of first event, there was some discussion about bringing it back in october...
Cordovan hasn't updated the first post of this thread (as of the date/time of this post) or posted this info here, but for anyone that missed it:
By "through November 11th" I'm guessing the new end date/time is now:
Event: Start Time: End Time: Harvestmath Festival 10/15/19@10am 11/12/19@3am
As I always do, I'll finish up the day before any stated end date just in case of SSG error/miscommunication.
As always, thanks Thoroval. The Twitter post is similar: "The Harvestmath Festival was extended earlier this week, and is available through November 12th! We hope you are enjoying this year's event."
I concur with your end date and time as that has been reasonably consistent with Turbine for many years and SSG from their start with one tiny exception.
Fatefoot
For any player not understanding the need for Thoroval's caution, a little history. When the first festivals arrived they ended at 3am on the date stated as "to". But the time wasn't stated as everything changed at 3am server time. Internationally there are different understandings of "from" and "to" and, certainly where I come from originally, although "from" might be at a certain time on the start date, if the time isn't stated, "to" means "until the end of the day. A massive forum fight ensued and resulted in the introduction of the first "encore" although it wasn't called that. They just gave us a week extra later to satisfy players who hadn't turned in those newly introduced festival tokens, got their special mounts etc. From that time, Turbine consistently used the American-English "through" to mean 24 hours of that end date (and of course the 3 hours to server time). SSG have been consistent except when someone took over The Beacon from Cord (who seems to have it back according to his stream) and even then they announced that they would continue to use "through" to avoid doubt.
Still, belt and braces (that's the Tolkien version of belt and suspenders) - better safe than sorry as there could be a power outage or we could lost internet connection at the last moment ^À^

Another confusing example would be the Weekly Coupon/Free Sample Coupon Code. It has always been listed in the Beacon as "...now THROUGH [the following Thurs.]". However, at least 2 or 3 times when the Beacon was issued on Thurs., I had tried to use that code on the following Thurs. and it was Expired. I had tried this at roughly the same time of day that the Beacon was issued (on Thurs.), when the NEW Coupon Code was listed... and it made sense to just get them both on the same day! Now, Cord is issuing the Beacons on Fridays, with the code being good "through" the following Thurs. So what I am asking is, ...What TIME on Thurs. will the Weekly Coupon Code EXPIRE? Is it at 3am Server Time on Friday? And then, at 3am the NEW code is valid for one week? (Except, we won't know what the new code is until the Beacon comes out, sometime on Friday.)
...Is that right?![]()

The Coupons are set to run through 11:59:59pm Eastern on the following Thursday, so they shouldn't be inaccessible if you are trying to redeem on a Thursday Eastern time.
I have had a couple of them tell me they were expired when I tried at 10pm Eastern on a Thursday. I try to get them by Wednesday now if I want the item, so the last time it happened was probably back in May or June.
I had, however, often gotten the item late afternoon on a Thursday when the new code went out and never had a problem with that. Not saying it was never a problem at that time for anyone, just that maybe there is something intermittently weird going on.
Hmmm, that is very confusing as one is saying THROUGH 11th, while other is saying THROUGH 12th. Through means through that entire date and ending at the start next day at server reset. So is it THROUGH 11th or THROUGH 12th ??? Is it Ending on reset on the 12th or on the 13th ???
In the Beacon it says:
- The Harvestmath Festival has been extended by another week! This seasonal event now runs through November 11th.
Note the "THROUGH" there. That indicates it is active the whole of 11th and ends on server reset to the 12th, so why is Twitter (according to fatefoot) saying differently ???
