Down Times in LS ?

Why do the LS always get down times when updates have nothing to do with us? (Since Mirkwood is our endgame for now) Alot of updates deal with 120+ level stuff. Please let us play through the endgame updates.

On another note when is next expansion for LS ? Mirkwood came early so please give us a list on future expansion dates.

Probably because, unlike a "true classic" server that is as close to the original game as possible, the LS here uses the same basic client as the regular servers.

Also, there may be other server maintenance done in the same downtime as the updates.

It's the same client, same server-side code, just LS have some flags toggled on to determine the different settings they use (level cap, available zones, available features, etc.)

In the same way, when there're updates for the LS, regular servers are also down.
