One thing that is conspicuous by its absence is that there is no mention of race changes. Since its (reasonably) safe to assume that this will be monetized, why is there no race change token (or similar) with any version of the expansion? There should be one with the collector and ultimate packages, at the very least, given the pricing structure.

The standard edition is ok - content to play, char slot, new race, a couple of boosters to help with reaching 130.

The ultimate bundle on the other hand, looks like an expensive collection of random items.

Random is a point of view and entirely subjective. Certain players love boosts, various cosmetics,pets,titles and would gladly pay even more than you to have in their collection. The higher than usual cost might be because of the exclusive content , you cannot get it nowhere else ,so value rises up.

It means a portal to Minas Morgul that you can put in your house.

If it's anything like the one from the Mordor expansion, it means you get a Housing item that upon interacting will teleport you to a location in the new landscape. For Mordor, it gave a door that fit in Wall hooks and teleported characters to the Ruins of Díngarth when clicked.

I don't see anything remotely worth the extra $90 in the ultimate... not to me at least.

So lets see... I guess its time to grind some more empos... likely 10 per legacy.
Not sure how craft guild is handled, but I suppose stashing some guild emblems is in order.

They still sell the level 95 valar for a bit less than the 105 - although the value is enormously less because it doesn't have all the extras. I don't doubt they will add the 120 to the store while leaving the 105 and maybe the 95 at lower prices than the 120.

But I have been wrong before - in fact very recently in thinking that the reference to the new race in the patch notes was a mistake. Understandable since it would have made no sense if they weren't taking pre-orders today which came as a surprise.

I had also expected a level cap increase with the expansion.

If you already bought one, no, I'd say it won't get updated into a new one. You'd need to purchase a 120 one when it comes live.

On what is based your statement ? If i am right in past they updated like this old valar to new valar.

I'd have figured they got used that first time on release day then not so much for a long while. After Ally hall ports came in maybe not even later. We have super hubs now too

Will the Allegiance story continue, have a vault full(ish) of the relics?
Will Light and Shadow return? Who trashed all their LoE gear and essence? Or is it yellow quest gear time again?

I hope to see some of those T3 skirmish mobs on the landscape

I've never seen that happen, I received my Mordor one and I don't think they would turn a 105 valar into a 120 for free. Makes no sense that you'd get a new item when you paid the old price for the old item. The new 120 valar will get its own price when you buy it separately from the expansion pack.

Good catch. At the very least the Ultimate bundle needs to include one race-change. But I understand if they want to keep that mostly store-exclusive, like name-change, kin-rename, etc.

Yes. The Character Level 120 Boost will be available in the LOTRO Store after the Minas Morgul expansion launches. The cost for the Boost will be 6695 LOTRO Points.

From what I see, it's 7 instances AND raid. I don't see anything great in ultimate bundle, may be buy standart or middle pack because of mount. Don't decide yet

i wish somehow there was a package where every player could choose what he/she wants to buy........
i dont want the XP, cos i dont intend to lvl any alt.....
but i want the item to lvl 120 just in case .......
i dont intend to play the "new dwarf race", why should i pay for it?
i dont like the minas morgul cosmetics, they dont look much lotr, tho i could be fond of the blue outfit.......
maybe i like the AURA thing, i m not sure yet.....
i dont really care for the dogs .........
let us choose what we want to buy in a player selection bunddle package!
if there was something like this, i would had bought it today!
