Population will continue to drop until next year and I bet it will drop even more with MM. We need to get the small community we have left one 1 server!

No thank you.
Reasons are the same as the last thread. Even if 100 or so daily players transfer harmoniously to Anor, you're not going to see anywhere near that wanting to do content and group. Plenty of us are solitary or clique players. Simply put, it won't change your situation much for the better, but it'll definitely change my situation for the worse. Merges will eventually happen, sure, but at least hit the same expansion as retail first (which at the current LS rate should be late next year).

needs to happen but also design decisions by the dev team for the leg'd servers is the real culprit. 95% of my kin doesnt even bother to log in anymore and i wouldn't count on the rolling disaster of the rohan expansion to revive player numbers...
dont worry the dev's are working on a fix that fixes the fix that fixed the fix that was fixing the fix....
No, thank you. Things are fine just the way they are.
I will pass on a merge. Ithil is totally fine on its own.

When you have trouble forming groups for endgame content, I honestly don't think the population is anywhere near healthy. They are way below the normal servers.
I am in a very healthy kin. There are always enough people for grouping.

I think, i get the Problem we read here again and again.
One want that all Legendary Server Player play on one Server, to have a bigger community and the option to have more people to play more Raid/Fellowship content.
Good Idea, we have a lot of free space for Players on both Server.
There were free Traveloptions between the Servers and on Anor, we can see that is used very often, as we have players with 3 digits behind the name.
But what is missing, is the understanding between traveling and deporting.
Some people already wrote that they are fine with the very small community on Ithil. They want to keep the names, they chose for the chars and to have a number behind the name is no option for them. Something i can good understand.
We see and meet people on Anor that Travel from Ithil to us and i welcome you here. But they chose to travel to the bigger server, they do not have to.
I think we all have to understand that.
I do think Ithil could use more players, chat goes from silent to non-stop chitchat but there aren't PUGs being posted ALL the time.. there's peaks & lows like in all servers tho..
Also, it is true, Ithil does have strong kins to run group content... it's just a matter of getting an invite to the ones that fit your schedule & playstyle

It would be pretty nice to have the both servers be one, as it would allow for more grouping and larger kins.
As a raider, and an officer in a raiding kin, it would be nice to have more people to pull from for groups. Its also rather sad to watch a group not fill up for 20 minutes or so. It reminds me of Meneldor before the 2015 Consolidation. I am 100% for server merge.
Mirage | Fathom | Situational Awareness | Reformed
Arkenstone | Shadowfax | Treebeard
Imagine what happens when LS servers reach 130 level and they start getting updates in same way as other servers...
No to a merge. My kinship is so large on Anor they had to do another culling of users recently because they were getting to the maximum amount of users. I was culled and I was only gone for 3 months! I just came back to the game last week, and every day.... 20-30 kinnies are on at any given time.
There really is no need for a merge, just get into a good kinship and you are going to be fine. It's also not fun for zones to be completely overrun. In both Moria and Mirkwood there were lines for certain quests because it got too busy, and people were waiting for things/mobs to spawn, etc....
Moved from Riddermark to Arkenstone on 9/29/2015!

Yes to a server merge.
No kinship on Anor or Ithil has the max number of unique characters, to say either server has a viable population. Any kin that claims so is just hyper inflating lies, because every one knows altoholics exist en-masse. The Legendary servers lost critical mass months ago. With a new expansion coming soon for the original servers, the LS servers will cost more to keep them running than the revenue they generate. Also the next in their progression is level 85. You know, the expansion that killed the game for thousands who never returned. It's a business not a free charity and anyone who owns a business or runs one, knows cutting cost is a key component to survival.
Plenty of -1's to go around and they are all free.
It's a business that those who don't have Lifetime accounts are paying the privilege for (...and there are a few. I'm a lifetimer who has additional VIP accounts that play exclusively on the LS). I don't doubt that eventually the model they've undertaken, with two legendary servers, is not sustainable, but to pull that rug from under the customers at this point, now that many are entrenched, would be a poor decision. The best option for right here and right now is to reopen the free server transfers between Anor and Ithil. Let the population choose where they want to be. Those that migrate towards the density are more likely those that are going to more receptive to participating in PUGs and what-not anyway.
"Charity" is a nice way of trying to say that the servers are in the red to strengthen an argument in favour of a merge. The truth is more complex than this, and one we're not in a position to comprehend. There is still money being generated by the LS servers as lifetimers still buy points and not all LS players are lifetimers. I don't doubt that SSG jumped the gun with the second server, but it's here now and there are plenty of options to mitigate low-population server costs without shutting them down.
Edit: Also, in addition to losing names, there will be a housing fiasco that will annoy a lot of people.
