Crafting Carry-Alls are sort of worthless....
So, I got the Crafting Carry All, both the large one and the small one.
While the idea behind it is great, I think it is executed quite poorly, and needs some major improvements.
1) The list cannot be sorted, placing items in the back randomly. You can't enlarge the window, and you have no idea how many of the slots are taken up.... counting under 10 might be done within 1 second, but counting to 50 to find out you have 38 slots used, 12 free.... is just plain annoying.
2) Autogather is nice when in the field collecting, but it sucks when crafting improved leathers/ore/wood and such, because they disappear into the carry-all... and you have to take them back OUT to craft the next level of improved leather/ore/wood. So I am constantly changing auto-gather on/off.
3) To expand on the above, you cannot craft from the bag so you constantly have to find stuff, take it out, craft.... and as clicking "gather" also drops vendor bought items such as wax into the carry-all, you have to take those out too.... I usually have a stack of wax in my bag so I can easily craft a leather or two wherever I find a workbench in case a kinnie needs. The carry-all just creates more work.
4) It is stated that because it is bound to account you can easily share.... while this might be true, it isn't all that handy. I had actually expected this "carry all" to be an "account shared" BAG that all toons could access for crafting-only materials, but you end up having to move it into shared storage, so that another character can take it out of the shared vault to use.
At this moment, the carry-all is really only handy as a space-saver in your shared vault, as in you can take it out, stuff a bunch of materials in it, and put it back in the vault.
The BIGGEST failure is that you can't craft directly from the bag. It would be a lot handier if you could take it out of vault, walk to a work bench, do your thing, then put it back into the vault. At least that way it has some value.... but right now, I wouldn't buy it again if the item is ever introduced in the store. A mule-character is almost easier to use if you have a fast loading SSD to switch to that mule.
Moved from Riddermark to Arkenstone on 9/29/2015!
