Transferring old servers

I haven't played for 5 years. how do I recover my chars that were in Meneldor?
I need help, please.

Transfers are currently disabled due to technical problems. SSG have been working on getting it fixed and, according to Cordovan on his last Twitch stream, they are very close to making them available again (weeks rather than months).

So all hope is not lost. Maybe do a bit of scouting of other servers by making new characters to see where you want to transfer to once you can?

Thanks for the answer. I'll be looking forward to it.
I've even created new characters, but I have many items in Meneldor in my old characters and high level.
Where can I check the transfer notices when they are available?

They will probably announce it here, Facebook and Twitter. Also the Transfer button should re-appear on the Launcher (though it does show up on the launcher when Bullroarer is open so you can copy characters over).
