    Medium Carry-All Gift

I love you, SSG. Seriously. Decorating is my endgame, and I have three alts who store all of my housing items, and 9 huge houses full, and I have needed a Housing Items Carry-All since forever. And when they become available in the LOTRO Store, I will have more!

I love the Crafting Carry-Alls, and have a lot of them. I love the Task Carry-All. And an Essence Carry-All is a great idea. But you have my undying gratitude and love for the Housing Carry-All.

Now, I just need a storage shed, or maybe a warehouse.

    Cheers,
    Shatter

I do as well appreciate the gift.

But a small plea.. how about to make a bag for all the different faction coins/barter items?
I got my bag and auction house filled with these coins. Im grateful that SSG have moved much of these in the wallet and I would love to see more of them go there or in storage bags

There is a bag for these - it is called the premium wallet, 995LP in the store. Makes all barter currency go into the wallet with your gold, marks and medallions... if you don’t already have it then OMG it is an absolute essential!

Unless you mean rep items like Cardolan trinkets/mathoms etc.? TBH I never run out of storage space for those because I always use them

Task carry-alls are the most useful for me, as it helps massively with extended questing so you can fill your inventory with any nice useful stuff...

Why have I not seen that before?
Are you sure ALL the currency goes there? For example Gift brands from RT? Those flower vials from the Wastes? Riddermark coins? etc

I don't understand how instruments/housing carry-all can help people. Crafting & Task give you huge advantage, because you can have thousands of resources/task items. But... thousands instuments? Thousands doormates or wall items? It's just 20 slots, right?

Not ALL, but MOST. Yes to gift brands, vials and coins. Check here, as the list would be a mile long. Also click on the blue band drop down lists. You will be amazed.

Instruments will be niche for sure, but in-game bands are very much a thing, so I can definitely see someone wishing to have a dozen or so instruments on hand at all times! ;p

Housing decorations there are definitely hundreds if not 1000+ options, so being able to convert 20 vault slots into 1 (or 20 backback slots into one if you're actually in the process of decorating your premium kinship house for example!) would surely be helpful to some!

Agreed. For carry-alls that carry items that do not stack, it all seems a bit pointless. Housing items and instruments have no stacking, so they will each take up a single slot in the carry-all. IMO, any carry-all designed for carrying items in a one per slot fashion, should have a lot more slots than carry-alls that carry stackable items.

Totally agree. The crafting and task bags would be the most useful. I only have a task item one that I got free as VIP a while back. I was thinking of subbing for a month next month anyway, so I will get another task one.

How many items fit in the housing carry-all? Do the same items stack?

Don't have one myself (does anyone yet?) but if they don't stack in your vault/chest I doubt they will stack in the carry-all.

It would be the one that at this point interests me the most because I have hundreds of housing items but I would need at least 3 to keep them somewhat organized. It would make decorating so much easier. But this is a bad time for VIP.If they continue the trend of the last years they have summer sales and I don't want to miss a sale on Vales. Definitely something to think about because besides the crafting carry-all I have seen none in the store.

I don't remember if my mind is recollecting this from a livestream or some Dev comment on an old thread, but it was my understanding that the idea of adding the Housing carry-all kind of came with the idea of making it possible inside the carry-all for the same items to stack (provided their binding status).

@Elmagor: I personally have more than 1 of the same, yes, including doormats, because I decorate more than one house and because I never know when I'm going to want a duplicate to have a symmetrical decoration. Of course if this is something you don't do in LOTRO, you wouldn't imagine it.

Nevertheless, I doubt I'll choose the Housing one just because I consider Essences/Crafting/Tasks a higher priority clutter on the toons I enjoy playing... while decorations are in my decoration toon mules.

In any case, we have 3 options:

    1) a Dev gracefully comes to clarify how Housing/Instruments will work.

    2) we wait for May 1st and our friends from Deco du Milieu will surely update us on how [at least the Housing one] works.

    3) someone from BR comes & tells us... I totally skipped the carry alls coz I found out about them after BR closed and we only got 1 build.

Looks like current setting for carry-alls fits great only for task and crafting items, and maybe for reputation items. I just want to say what maybe SSG need to create carry-alls for instruments and housing items with different settings - with less amount of slots (because we don't have 20+ different instruments in game, and 20+ different types of housing items), but with different structure. As example, carry-all for musical instuments where you can put only musical instruments, but all types of flutes with different levels have only 1 slot. 1 slot per type of items, not 1 slot per 1000-5000 items with same name.

I do a lot of decorating, for friends, for kinships who would like something a little less "dead animals", for people who are referred to me. I have an extra "Banker" that I place in any house I am decorating, and then have my housing decorations alts dump whatever I need or think I might need into Shared Storage. I can then easily access housing items without filling up my bags. But, it would be nice to have a Housing Decorations Carry-All that contained wall and floor paints, or wall and floor patterns, or Ceiling items, or rugs, or ... I can think of lots of items that I could group together in a carry-all.

So, even if the Housing Decorations Carry-All doesn't stack, it is still useful to me. And when they become available in the LOTRO Store, I will get a few.

I already have several Crafting Carry-Alls, and those are incredibly useful. I have a Task Carry-All, and it is full all of the time. I could actually use another, and will purchase one when they become available in the store.

So, while it seems that a lot of you don't have uses for these Carry-Alls, I am very grateful that we are being offered them. And I could use one for Instruments, and one for Costumes, and one for Potions, and one for Scrolls, and one for Cooked Food, and at least one for the tokens that do not go into my Premium Wallet (best buy in the game).

Anything that helps keep stuff sorted and easily accessible is good. Very good. Anything that helps my bags and vaults look less like Fibber McGee's closet.

    Cheer,
    Shatter

I will use it for the house because tasks are done within a week or two then discarded.

My house is 100% full - 2 houses. chest is full. So the storage is needed.

Wasn't there a note that the premium house would be getting an additional chest? If so, is that now waiting until Rohan housing?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please extend my gratitude to the folks who came up with this Carry-All idea, who pushed to get it into code and into the game. And into my happy hands.

    For example:

    1. the items "Map of the Walls of Moria" and "Map of Angmar" stack?
    2. "Hanging Pot of lively ivy" and "Hanging Pot of verdan Ivy" stack?
    3. "Orange carpet" (floor) and "Blue carpet" (floor) stack?
