    Midsummer Festival dates extended

The Midsummer festival has been extended by 6 days to more reasonably allow completion of 'The Majesty of Midsummer' and all of the corresponding tiers of the Fondness for Festivity quests.
The Midsummer Festival will run through July 26th, 2020 and will turn off at 3 am server time on Monday 7/27/2020.

Thank you! Now I may try to get some decorations on a second server too xD

I may be being thick and blind, but I didn't see anything about the Tournament event and the Bombadil server. When is that due to finish? Asking in-game got me several different dates throughout July.

It was in the original announcement. June 17th through July 14th meaning it will end at 3am July 15th.

Yeah I knew about the original date. I was seeing stuff about it maybe having been extended for a few more days but no one seemed to know the new finish date for sure (or even if there was a change), that's why I was asking. Seems people (probably including me) were confusing the festival being extended with this event and thought maybe both had.

I understand. I am not a great Twitter follower, but I noticed after I replied that they tweeted a reminder that Bombadil would be closed in today's restart. I guess following twitter can avoid us getting cornfuzzled lol

Due to the server issues, will there be an additional extension?

    Harvestmath and Yuletide Festivals

Is it possible that this year you can start these two Festivals earlier?
At least the 1st of each month, not 1 or 2 weeks after.

    Yuletide Festival 12/1/20

Me, three! And in addition to the Festival Extension... Could we also please have a repeat "Crafting boost Weekend"? ...Maybe on the 23rd? ...I don't think many of us even got 0ne cumulative Day on our U.S. home Servers, to do much tier crafting either, because of all the Downtime + the festival. And there is only One more Crafting weekend planned for the rest of the year. ...Please add another? ~Tyvm

Yes, please re-schedule the bonus Crafting XP event. I had been looking forward to it for a long time and did not get to log in at all through the entire duration.

Any chance for an extension of the Midsummer Festival due to the frequent issues over the past 4-5 days? Please? :-D

Cordovan has confirmed this already, the extension will be decided once the problems are solved.

    Thanks for the updates.

Can we ask for two more small things:

    1) Can this page announce the availability dates of seasonal figment vendors, especially the Curator? As we've seen in many other threads, the fact that the Curator is almost always unavailable, then returns sporadically without any predictability, is one of the most frustrating and counterproductive choices SSG has made. Having the Curator in game more often would be a great incentive to have people keep repeating content, by making rewards available and giving people something on which to spend fully capped currencies. If you're capped on your Embers/Figments/Motes and have nothing left to buy, you're much more likely to stop playing altogether -- I've never understood why SSG would want to incentivize such player behavior. Honestly, if they activated Curator, that would be a much better gift than the Thank You Gift they offered today. Anyway, even if they're going to continue the super-baffling choice of keeping Curator unavailable except a few days a year, at the very least they can give us some predictability about when she'll be back in game by including the dates on this Events page.

    2) Can this page also announce the availability of the Ill Omens event? The couple times it has happened, it has not been mentioned on this page, as far as I know. That's one of the reasons I think so few players know about this event. Ill Omens can be quite a nice change of pace during downtime between other events, and it encourages both solo and group exploration of old content, so at least you could mention it here to let more players know about it.

Oh, I concur. It would be nice to anticipate the curator's return. I decided to just let my figments cap out, since I already have everything I want for my characters. Either the cap should be increased or the Curator and new items should not be so infrequent and short-lived, when he/she does return.

Hobnanigans (aka chicken soccer) is extremely difficult for players like myself who have arthritis. I played one game and had to not only quit Hobnanigans, but LotRO altogether, for the night because my hands hurt so bad. If I could have a keyboard shortcut to kick with, I might could do it. I generally love the festivals and games in LotRO, but I'm going to have to pass on this.

I did find it fitting that the title I had active at the time was the Tired.

Okay, I was able to learn a few things last night and this morning.

    1. You can pull the skills from the little box onto your action bar so you can use the keyboard to hit the chicken. Much easier. (My right hand is worse than the left, so a lot of mousing gets old fast.)
    2. If you have cooperative people (e.g. myself & my hubby), you can get the quest, get a stick, drop the quest, wait five minutes, get the quest again... repeat until all the sticks are gone, then the game will start. I beat hubby quite soundly while he stood around doing nothing. So I got my 15 tokens for winning and he got five. While trying to set up for a second game, somebody else came along and joined hubby's team. So I lost and they won, but afterward I took hubby's tokens. So I got 40 for the two games.

I'll just have to find time when nobody else is around.

Also, someone who saw either my post in this thread or the one in another thread was kind enough to send me a stack of tokens and a white chicken pet. I don't want to thank him by name in public so he doesn't get harassed by beggars, but I did thank him in game.

This new extended Farmer's Faire need run for more time, like Yule (and like Summer). Add two weeks to fix this.
