First time on PvMP - some questions

Hi,

Just bought the blackarrow class for PvMP - thought I’d give it a go.

1. Logged on yesterday and found I had a “sigil of dedication” in my wallet. Spent it on an appearance for my blackarrow only to find it is the wrong class and bound to character, so totally useless. Anything I can do to rectify this?
2. What’s the best way to gain commendations quickly? Doing quests gives peanuts and everything costs thousands.
3. Any good guides online? Any tips for a blackarrow? I feel pretty weak and it takes ages to kill anything, so I dread to think what would happen if I came up against a real player.
4. Is there a “best server” for PvMP and if so, can characters be transferred? I am currently on Laurelin.
5. Finally, are commendations etc. account shared? I am thinking if I need to start again on another server will I lose the ones I already have?

1. Send in ticket.
2. Killing players of the opposing side gives more commendations.
3. Snare, Steadfast Barrage, VT, Tangleshot are your big hitting skills.
4. None of the servers are good IMO.
5. Comms are account shared. You only lose them if you reroll on North American server.

2. Work on getting your maps done. There are quest deeds that give a significant commendation bonus that also give you maps to get you around the map faster.
3. You're going to have to buy those skills from the store in order to kill anything in a timely manner. Just a heads up.

On Arkenstone, you'll find complaints about the number of shuffles. You'll also find 10 times as many players as on any other server.

You realize you can transfer account bound currency and storage to other servers for free right. So having commendations on 1 server is like having them on the other 4 servers.

I actually already put in a ticket for the appearance problem. Missed the GM response first time then got it sorted on second. Now have Moria Black Uruk which fits the blackarrow.

I am getting the hang of the character now and whilst it still takes too long to kill things I am getting used to the sequences. I did buy Vital Target with MC and it makes it a good deal quicker. Might buy some more as have some LP left over. Now rank 2, audacity 3 and have 875 comms banked. Not much, but it’s a start.

Laurelin is pretty busy tonight actually, so I think I’ll stick around for now. There was a good 7 v 7 going on (maybe it still is, I don’t know) and that helped to get points because people can share them in group. I definitely do need to rank up a lot more before I can take any freeps on alone though...

I’ve already done the map to Grams and working on the others. It would be great if we could ride horses or summon like the freeps as it takes a while to get places.

What are the most important traits/corruptions etc. to go for? Mastery? Mits? Armour? There’s way too much to choose from TBH.

The cookie cutter corruption build is 2x Morale for Power (5 and 10%), 1x Damage for Power (10%), 3x Mastery and 6x Crit. Maybe you should just trait morale and mits until you get a higher rank and have more defensive options. (Uruk heal and Evasion)

Can't tell you much about BA class traits since I don't play one, but I'm pretty sure you don't trait fire type damage anymore. There's one that reduces your skill inductions. You should definitely get that one.

2. Your going to want to do quests for each keep to get maps and u get alot of comms from gaining maps, otherwise killing freeps.
3. Just use corruptions crit and mastery for damage, theres mits and morale etc too if u feel squishy

Right, I have added a couple of mastery corruptions and one each of phys and tac mit. I have also traited to be able to move and fire with no inductions which make a huge difference, as well as “new breed” for armour and morale and something else that gave me some critical rating. I also worked out that a month of VIP unlocks the trait slots like it does with freeps, so I’ve added that on which helped with the extra LP for the corruptions too. I’ve just been out and killed a few mobs and I’m not OP by any stretch, but I at least feel normal now!

Also, I have earned the map to Grams and a kind soul on Laurelin gave me a sigil of battle which I used to buy the map to TR, so I can get a bout a bit faster now.

Well, been on the Moors for a few days now and I can happily say that Laurelin is pretty active actually! Loads going on tonight. Got a few killing blows (and died a lot too!) and steadily ranking up - now a fighter. The bane of my life at the moment are CC and stuns, as well as pesky stealthing burgs

So... if anyone can suggest top tips for avoiding getting dazed or otherwise being prevented from attacking, please do let me know!

I’m sure a high ranked BA is pretty strong, but right now I’m very squishy and keep getting splatted as a priority target... probably because the freeps think I’m gonna be ridiculous, like you say

In my defence, I had no idea BA was OP (or so everyone keeps saying), I just fancied playing the class. It was pretty even on Laurelin last night, even though there were a few BAs higher rank than me. All the freeps needed to do was come down off the GV steps - they wouldn’t come down for ages and we kept picking off the brave ones. Then when they eventually did all attack together they battered us. Freeps are more powerful in an even fight, it seems. Numbers seem to be the biggest deciding factor so far.

1 No you can't do anything if you spent it. And they only for cosmetics anyway.
2 Best way to get comms in begining is doing quests. On Evernight server there is pve raid every 8 am UK time so you get your maps and comms very fast.
3 Creep player solo is useless till rank 7-8 so dont worry. Stay in back of zergs and leech your points
4 Biggest english speaking server for european players is Evernight. But atm we have freeps on strike and they refuse to fight if they not have more numbers (or at least 5 healing bears wnich it seems give them comfort)
5 Comms are account shared in meaning you can earn/use them on your freeps and creeps. But they not transfer to another servers (You may transfer them with shared storage wallet when you transfer char but im not 100% sure so someone who done it should say it).

Finally don't answer to Magnumum - he seems not understand what he write and read.

Thanks, I put in a ticket and they did sort it for me, so the system works!

Now I’ve ranked up and earned a few upgrades I feel more like I would expect to feel as say, a hunter on landscape. I don’t feel like I need to transfer either as my server seems pretty active.

I’ll remember about Magnumum, but he seems harmless enough

Thanks! All my freeps are on Laurelin so it made sense to start there. Plus when you hear people calling out in the world channel you can jump straight to the Moors if it sounds like it’s kicking off
