    Guardians definitely need a huge update/revamp to become viable again. Scaling skills, shield use and fixing BPE will not make a guardian viable. This revamp would actually also make the guardian rotation much harder but also more rewarding if done correctly. Now after those basic changes like bpe fix/shield use rank,

    -Blue guardians still need:
    • More offensive utility (disorientation buff)
    • More sturdiness, (mits/-inc dmg increase) (BPE emergencies include some -inc dmg) (warchant debuff increase) (more morale)
    • More defensive utility (fortification raid mits buff) (litanny buff) (shieldwall buff) (a potential new buff that would give -inc dmg around the guardian kinda like cappy aura)
    • Break ranks and stoic inc dmg changes should have their implementation changed. (break ranks should be a skill) (stoic inc dmg should last the whole WH or 20s after the WH)


    -Yellow guardians still need:
    • The entire line changed, literally a whole revamp of it. It's originally supposed to be a debuff tank who also does some dps on the side but it just has an identity crisis and is absolute garbage trash at all of these things (tanking,debuffing,dps). This entire line needs to be changed. Either a whole revamp or an entire buff of everything in it is needed to make it work again.


    -Red guardians still need:
    • Every single trait buffed (not exaggerating, literally every single trait is either super bad or it costs way too much for the tiny increases you get) Valorous strength, Warrior fortitude and broad strokes are the only well balanced traits in this whole tree.

    • Invigourating Parry ... I have no idea, honestly.
    • Bleed Them Dry should have a passive bleed damage component
    • Deeper Wounds needs to have its max ranks cut to 4 from 5. Slightly changed benefits at max rank (1/2/2/3 Bleed Pulses and 5% damage per rank, totaling 25%)
    • Haemorrhage needs to have its max ranks cut to 4 from 5. Chance to bleed removed, bleed damage bonus increased (5% per rank, totaling 25%)
    • To The Rescue needs to have its max ranks cut to 3 from 6. Changed benefits (2/4/6 seconds extended charge, no longer provides additional movespeed to Charge)
    • Heavy Blows needs an additional effect, currently it's just a watered down version of Valorous Strength.
    • Warriors Fortitude could see some changes:
      • Shouldn't be tied to Warriors Heart
      • Grants bonus Critical Chance and Magnitude to Bleeds and Mastery, other bonuses removed.
    • Blind Rage changes:
      • Please change the tooltip description, it hasn't been correct since implementation
      • Blind Rage should always grant melee damage and attack speed.
      • Blind Rage max ranks needs to be cut to 4. Bonuses scaling changed (Damage per rank 5%, attack speed per rank 5%)
    • Hammer Down changes:
      • Cooldown reduced to 20 seconds
      • Damage increased by around 40%
      • No longer stuns
      • Always deals Critical Strike on a low morale enemy
      • Defeating an enemy refreshes the cooldown.
    • Honourable Combat needs changes. Give it a Morale and Power heal (2% morale and 5% power) on a Parry Response critical hit with an internal cooldown (3-6 seconds)
    • Prey On The Weak needs changes:
      • One suggestion is to allow all Guardian bleeds to stack up to 2 times. Re-using a Bleed occuring skill refreshes the oldest one.
    • Base damage on Sting, Brutal Assault, To The King, Overwhelm and Sweeping Cut increased.
    • Base damage of all Bleeds increased by roughly 15%
    Is a good summary of what red guards will need. Guardians are still extremely far away from being viable and will need a proper big update to fix them. And even if they get this and they become viable to tank stuff, they will still be outmatched by a captain 90% of the time so yeah rip guards. That's why these BR changes are extremely underwhelming, it's only like 2% of what guardians need as an update and to make it worse: it's not even implemented correctly.

    Im sure players could come up with a working revamp since they play the game. But no way SSG will be able to do that. They dont play their own game to the extent main guardian players do. They cant even do the bare minimum and SCALE skills of most classes. They cant even make BPE work the way it did.

    At one point in time this game was very good to decently balanced, they have been breaking that balance over several years. How can you expect them to bring this game back to a reasonable level again?

    The only way I can see them adding improvements without further breaking the game is work with the skills/values we got. The blue guardian already have good survival skills that needs to be made functional again, like BPE. If the BPE system is broken they shouldn't alter guardian skills but fix that broken system. That is just 1 example.

    Can someone please explain to me what shield use rank even is? I have talked to so many people about it and no one knows.

    Used to increase damage dealt with skills that used the shield instead of the main hand weapon. Vastin removed that interaction years ago and set the affected skills to scale off weapon damage instead since shield use rank had weird scaling in the first place.

    It's the guardian's Belt main legacy, where you can spend 30+ anfalas star lits on and not get a single thing back from it.

    Crafters don't get anything in MM, right? In Elderslade every profession get 1 recipe for resource item traded for gold pocket

    You can craft plenty of gear on cap, you still use consumables which are crafted, best offhands/shields are crafted. Everything to start with on cap you can get from crafting and resources for it are cheap enough now. Devs revisited lower crafting tiers and made crafting on cap viable. Want better gear go play group content. What else do you want? Being able to get best gear from crafting? Its own minecraft inside lotro? Or maybe want to craft something for days?

    I do wish they made crafting somehow more exciting or engaging, but it does seem that there are at least several items that are worth making currently. Hopefully it stays that way. Lots of consumables, several offhand items, and a scattering of decent 425 gear for alts and such.

    What would be nice is if crafting could make a bunch of things like housing decorations, legit cosmetics not found elsewhere, cool role playing/consumable emotes like tents, stages, etc...
