About Carefree

We are a slow-leveling, casual kinship. We organize our characters in tiers that we call Companies in a lore-friendly way.

Our current companies include the L20 Great Barrows Company for characters up to L20, the L32 Garth Agarwen Company that houses all characters L21-32, the L50 Angmar Company for characters between L32-50, and the L56 Mória Company that's for characters L51-56.

You are free to choose which Company you wish to belong to by staying within their level range. You are also free to transition to the next Company at any time of your choosing by leveling up.

We have multiple scheduled Events per week for our Companies. They can be anything from vacuous fun to on-level instance runs and even raids. Take a look at our Events Calendar to see what we've been up to. Participation in all of our Events is optional!

Carefree's purpose is to allow everyone to complete their goals in the game at their own pace and/or together with the kin. We run both scheduled and impromptu instances, raids, and content designed for groups on level as a kin. Our official runs tend to start around 19:00 GMT.

New Companies will open up in the future for the following adventures: 60 - Lothlórien / 65 - Mirkwood / 75 - Isengard / 85 - Riders of Rohan / 95 - Helm's Deep / 100 - Osgiliath/Pelennor / 115 Mordor.

The kin will cater to the needs of new players with no one getting left behind as long as you are a reasonably active player.

Hey! The kinship's called Carefree. That's just something I came up with but it can be changed if people don't like it. My toon's name is Narvyna. I'd like to start as soon as we have 10-12 people ready to go, though it may take a few weeks because interest seems to be generally low. At present, we are 4, including you and me.

We got started about 5 weeks ago. Currently, still focusing on L20 content, but we will open up a new tier to L32 next week. We call them Companies. L20 Barrows Company, L32 Garth Agarwen Company, etc. It's important that they run parallel with each other and everyone can decide which Company they want to advance to. We schedule our "official" events for 19:30 GMT every day, but you can organize your own stuff throughout the whole day when you find enough people online. Find Anthemic, Yust or Aixelamla in-game if you want an invite.

Carefree is dedicated to go on as we have on our original server, Evernight. Our current level cap is 40. If you wish to play actively but level slowly to experience all content in the game in a friendly and helpful environment, feel free to contact our officers Anthemic and Bid, or ask for a Carefree officer in world chat or our custom channel ./joinchannel Carefree.

Our most active time of the day is between 19:00 and 23:00 GMT and that's where we schedule most of our kin events. Have a look at our Calendar to see what kind of events we've had in the past and these days.

Yes, we are on Evernight and most people are EU-based. In fact, most of our kin runs are scheduled for 19:30 GMT. Normally, 4-5 people online throughout the day that becomes 14-15 in the evening. We have an active player from Australia.

We are raising our level cap to 56 on the 15th of December. It will be, then, further raised to 60 on the 1st of July, 2020, which begins our endgame phase for Mória-Lothlórien. After this, the cap will not be raised again until sometime in 2021.

Status Update:

Carefree is on track in accordance with the quoted post. Nothing really changed. We welcome new and returning members as well as everyone else who wishes to immerse themselves in this kind of experience.

A Success Story:

A kinnie has made an announcement today that is mindblowing to me. His goal was to achieve every fellowship maneuver in the game in every possible way on the same character. Yesterday he hit this goal. It wasn't a concerted effort on the part of our kin, honestly, we didn't even know about it, we just knew he liked FMs. We are immensely proud of our kin for being a community where one can set and achieve such a goal. We are even more proud of this individual for being the nicest person and an inspiration to all of us in so many ways! Thank you.

Our kin will raise the level cap to 60 on 1st, July. Our second annual house competition will be happening from 27th June thru 5th July with great prizes for the 3 winners and a random drawing for voters. Winners will be announced at our birthday celebration party on the 5th of July. Every old and new kinnie is invited to participate in the fun.

We have decided to open the road to level 60 today to keep the kin in accord with the natural progression of our players. We are currently planning to stay 4 months in this level range with a possible extension if needed. Everything else remains unchanged. We welcome everyone up to L60 after a short interview.
