    Main Street Middle-earth - A Hobbit Town

I’ve completed phase 1 of my Hobbit town, a neighborhood full of stores and businesses just in time for Yule shopping! Below is a self-guided tour. Enjoy!

    Server: Landroval
    Homestead: Shire
    Neighborhood: Westnook

    Developer & Decorator: Noodly
    Supplier & Curator: Chromite

A Suggestion for visiting – Wait a minute after exiting one house and before entering another. There is a bug that makes the house music bleed into the next house.

    Self-guided Tour

    1 Wending Way – Mercantile – A General store.
    2 Wending Way – Heatmizer
    3 Wending Way – Snowmizer
Brothers Heatmizer & Snowmizer have been at war with each other forever. They welcome helpers to shoot at each other’s houses with ballistae. A great place to park the kids while shopping! DISCLAIMER: Owners take no responsibility for burns, frostbite, wounds, etc.
1 Pleasant St – Eternalrest – A funeral home: Sadly, every town needs one. Stop by and pay your respects to Narmeleth.
2 Pleasant St – Pawnshop – A pawn shop: Need fast cash or a unique gift? We can help!
1 Myrtle Ct – Remedies – An apothecary shop: Whether suffering from too much Yule or in need of a love potion, this is the place to get medicinals.
2 Myrtle Ct – Liberry – A small public library: A Great place for hobbits to read about adventures without having to have them.
3 Myrtle Ct – Piecoin – A bank: Sign up for an account TODAY and you will receive 5 FREE Piecoins, our new Crisco-currency™.
4 Myrtle Ct – Meat Pies and Pudding – “Medieval Times”-style restaurant: pick a side, watch the bear fights, cheer for your knight and count the corpses as they pile up!
5 Myrtle Ct – Speckled Richard (i.e. Spotted Dick) – Artisanal coffee shop & bakery: Featuring our special green kombucha.
6 Myrtle Ct – Beehives – A hobbit garden center. Houseplants, flowers, patio furniture, apiary supplies and a Yule Shop. Wreath-making classes taught weekly.
4 Brookbank St – The Buckleberry Grange – A Grange Hall: Visitors can view prize-winning produce, flowers & spirits in the main hall or take advantage of December’s Ponyshoeing clinic. Attend this month’s lecture “Which Came First, Chicken or Egg?” Be sure to join the potluck dinner.
5 Brookbank St – Orderinthecourt – A corrupt courthouse: The Buckleberry Moonshine Smugglers are on trial in this court run by Judge Angrybees, who is usually found sampling the “evidence” or counting bribes in the judge’s chambers. There is a rumor that the Smugglers are planning a jail break tonight.
6 Brookbank St – Outofbusiness – A vacant store: Once a lovely shop, now overrun by varmints!
6 Harrow Rd – Thirstyshrew – A hobbit tavern: Eat, drink and be merry while enjoying live entertainment on the center stage. Play cards or toss horseshoes in the game cave. You might bump into our mascot in the supply room.

    I love it!!
“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay; Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.” ~J.R.R. Really cool! But was this a team effort because... how can you own so many shire houses? Or can we own more personal houses now and I haven't even realize?

It's a team effort.. I make some of the characters but Noodly usually makes most of them.

Oh I see, though I'm still confused. There is only ONE personal house per server shared by all your chars on that server, right? Or was that changed to house-per-character so you can have 5 characters in total and 5 personal houses on one server?

Ahh, well, that takes dedication Great work. Yeaaah, they should change it to per character instead, would be nice and so much easier. Most of neighborhoods are pretty empty anyway

We also do want appropriate Character names for each themed house.

Just visited this "town" and it is fantastic! Such attention to detail! You should invite players to The Thirsty Shrew for music and drinks!

I must admit, though, the lawyers at the bar in the court room sent a chill up my spine.... *shiver*

(There is a scary neighbor, Chaw, up on the hill there! Probably tells all the children to get off his lawn!)

Wonderful work- you both deserve extra hobbit presents!!!

    thanks for the fun!!

I was paying my respects to that pig! Which looked like it had been scrounging around oinking just yesterday!

Nice job! I had actually visited all or most of these houses before but it was nice to see them finished and to have the descriptions. Good reminder of why you are one of my favorite decorators in LOTRO!

Twelve Candaiths as a jury? Does that mean, someone did all of the third volume of the epic quest line, like twelve times? The nerve... my head starts swimming...

Two very nice friends gave us two of them. The rest came from mostly myself leveling characters and one or two from Noodly leveling hers.

    Wow!

Great work all round. Just visited the town and loved the guided tour.

I noticed a few nearby houses are for sale. Any plans to expand ?!
