you could try filing a ticket at http://help.standingstonegames.com

1330 Pacific time would be pretty close to the end of the workday on Friday. May be why no one saw your forum post.

I saw your OP, Aamu, but didn't respond because you didn't provide enough information for me to provide a useful response. I need to know what Mac – the exact model and year – you have, how much RAM you have installed, the video card in your Mac, the exact version of MacOS you are running, and whether you're using the "Mac"/WINE client or the Windows client in Crossover. And if you're running the game using Crossover, I need to know what version of Crossover you are using.

(I will also admit that another reason I didn't respond is because you have a habit of posting about a problem and then, while I'm halfway through writing a possible solution for you, you edit your post by deleting your original report and just stating "Forget it, it's working now," without even explaining what you did to repair your reported problem.)

Without any of that information, all I can do is guess wildly – like a blindfolded batter swinging against a knuckleballer. So here's my wild guess:

You're running the game using the "Mac"/WINE client in MacOS Mojave or earlier. That means you are limited to the 32-bit executable. And that means you are going to be prone to crashing in graphically dense and busy areas. Assuming that was the cause of your crash, it's possible that your UserPreferences.ini file became corrupted so that when you attempted to relaunch the game, the client attempted a video output which did not match your monitor's resolution. And when that happens you get a black screen.

That was a wild guess at the problem and its cause. Now here's a wild guess at a solution:
1- Best thing to do is to go to your backup from the day before this happened and write over your existing ~/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online folder with the backup of that folder. Or at least write over your existing ~/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/UserPreferences.ini file.
2- If you don't have a backup, or don't know how to get that folder or file from your backup onto your boot volume to replace the existing folder or file, try moving your existing ~/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/UserPreferences.ini file to your ~/Desktop. The game will create a new UserPreferences.ini file the next time you launch it – you will lose all your settings but if the cause of your problem is a bollixed UserPreferences.ini file, that ought to repair your problem. Note that you might have to go through all the usual first-run nonsense (setting your monitor to an insanely low resolution or editing the UserPreferences.ini file so that ScreenMode=FullScreenWindowed) in order to get the client to successfully launch the "first time" – that is, the first time it runs with a freshly-created UserPreferences.ini file.

Good luck. Please report back if the above works to resolve your issue, and/or what exactly you did that resolved your issue. If the above does not resolve your issue, please provide the information I requested and we'll see what we can do from there.
