I have considered dropping down to Deadly+0.
I am up to L20 today, and noticed that things get both more difficult and less difficult in several aspects at L20.
What I am trying to verify is that I won't lose anything if I slide it back one level.
Does anyone know "for sure"?
Has anyone done it and knows the result?
Oh, and I have one piece of feedback: This new "Difficulty" thing is the best thing that SSG has done in the last 5 years!
I am extremely happy with it (except for the drunken effects which it appears they are removing tomorrow).
You will lose your shot at the deadly title forever. And I'm pretty sure you'll lose the hard title too, actually, based on what I've seen people saying.

Great job SSG!
Thank You!!!
if you are dropping from deadly 1 to deadly 0 you are safe. if you drop below deadly 0 you will lose the deeds.
easiest way to get them is to just play normal on yoru main and make a farming alt, buy a couple crafting xp thingies and go to town.

See?
This is what happens when you ask the internet for information.
Like the Elves...they will tell you both yes and no.
“Ask not the elves for advice, because they will tell you both 'yes' and 'no'.”

i actually tested my information myself - you don't lose the deed swapping within the deadly difficulty. i originally was doing deadly 6 until it was just making the game annoying and dropped to deadly 0 before just going to normal around 40 to finish. not due to dying, due to boredom having the fights being so long.

Well, for what it's worth: I did the switch from Deadly+1 to Deadly+0 and my Deeds did not change. I still have both Apprentice and Disciple of Shadows pending.
I guess the real test will be when we get to L50 and see if we get the title when we do.
Oh, and by the way, the switch did accomplish what I wanted: I am doing slightly better VS mobs. Not a great deal, but just the little-bit that I was hoping for.
At level 10 and no idea how to set the difficulty level. No message or anything.
Here's the pertinent information about the landscape difficulty - yes, there's no info in-game about it, but it was written in an official article: https://lotro.com/en/legendary
There you'll see the name of the NPC you need to find - he's in every starter area.
