Viewpoint suddenly resets into under the player

I use mouse right button to direct where I'm running. I.e. clicking and moving mouse to make changes into running direction.
Also my viewpoint is always as far as possible behind the player character.

The issue is that sometimes click and mouse move seems to reset viewpoint just under the character and moving the mouse then makes way too radical changes to my running direction. E.g. if running away from hazard I may suddenly be running instead into the hazard.

I have tried to figure out if I'm clicking into some UI element that would trigger this viewpoint change but I have not found any. For me it feels like it happens randomly.
I have also tried to disable all plugins but they do seem to affect on this.

I recorded few seconds clip showing this sudden viewpoint change: https://streamable.com/qu0a21

Do others experience this and is there anything I could do to prevent this?

What kind of mouse do you use? I have experienced this most with a cheap wireless optical mouse. I have a much better wired optical mouse now and it almost never happens- but very rarely it still does.

I’ve seen reports of this behavior before. If you switch from Full Screen to Full Screen Windowed or vice-versa that should prevent it from happening. This YouTube video discusses the issue and the fix:

Thanks for the tip! Exactly my problem too.
Also the solution suggested in the video i.e switching from "full screen" to "full screen (windowed)" fixed this issue for me.

(I'm using wired gaming mouse so that should not be the issue. Sure wireless mouse could also contribute for many problems.)
