While questing at Clovengap, Gundabad, i found a unusual canine, Nakrovak. She belongs to a quest called Overcoming Corruption's Call: https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Que...ption%27s_Call . This good intended warg got her mind & spirit cleansed. By some strange miracle, the crystals that grew withing her changed her for good. Seems like evil never got a grasp to her & she was living by pure instinct. Now that Sauron have fallen, there is nothing that can enslave her mind. Now that she have gone sentient, all she want is to lead her pups to safety away from the source of corruption. Is this a revelation of the songs where no matter how many times the dark lord tried to corrupt nature, Elru Illuvatar was able to fix everything again?
I know i shouldn't but i will love in some future quest that follow this line, 1 of her pups when grow a bit older, take a like for me & follow me around as a friendly companion. I can't imagine any more perfect cosmetic pet for my RK!

Some of the wargs (the talking breed) have "sentience" to begin with (but still driven by vile instincts) so it must have been partially accelerating evolution through the crystals and partially unintended (or of devine intervention yeah) cleansing of the vile part of evil's influence - by all means this is still an animal, might even attack some lone free people travelers to feed its cubs etc but no longer extreme levels of malice (I guess most "evil" wargs aren't even as protective for their cubs and after a certain point it becomes just survival of the fittest)
But yeah agree, that was a cool story angle, would be great to meet the family again!

It's little stories like this that add so much detail to this game. I'm well aware Tolkien had nothing to do with it, but so what?
