So I was questing through Central Gondor today and on a little island with some enervated pirates I came across this hidden among some weeds:
Those pirates couldn't have been too tired from burying their treasure and trying to escape the soon-to-be-grateful Dead. Who else could have created this beautiful and ephemeral masterpiece?
I'm sure this is old news for long-time players but this is my first play through of this area and I was simply delighted to run across this amusing construct.
Yeah, these castles are actually such peculiar little things that I even pitched the idea for an exploratory cross-region quest about the builder of these castles, in my theoretical free-roaming proof of concept, at the bottom. Would have been cool!
The oldest one is on the little island in Lake Evendim where Floid and Dewitt can be found. There is another one in the "Premium" Housing area on the Cape of Belfalas, on the beach along the southwestern side, but I forget exactly where. Close to the tip, I think. And there is that one you show in the screenshot, on an island in the mouths of Anduin. Those are the three I know of. But there might be more in the game. There are a lot of beaches in the game and I don't think I've walked all of them. Wouldn't be surprised if there is on one on Long Lake somewhere.
