I decided to color my entrance hall in Belfalas blue. It looks really nice, but the color applies to upstairs and the long back room as well and I used decorative walls there. This does not look good and a little off. Why don't these rooms have separate hooks like the smaller rooms in the house?
Do I miss something here? Any decorating ideas how to work with it?

I also wish that those Belfalas houses have more surface slots, though my grief is more with the floors than the walls, but yah will be nice if the devs add more optional slots unlocks of all kinds. At least you can mask the walls by using decorative wall objects, & decorative stair when subdividing the rooms. Also could add other big wall items & furniture items to cover the walls partially.
Belfalas housing was probably the last of the "old" style of interiors for housing. Most of those interiors are preconstructed rooms which makes it harder to break up into multiple surface "zones". Our current model - with Rohan, Erebor and whatever we produce going forward, is much flexible and modular and allows us to more easily break apart rooms in the way you are asking for.
I'm hoping to get some R&D time in soon on the decorative walls and floors to allow them to be dyeable in some way, but I don't have an ETA on that.

Thank you for your quick response. I removed one wall and replaced the other with the dwarf Summerfest wall which looks different but also like a stone mural. Painting these decorative walls would be great though.
Different subject but more important to me: I was able to place the 'Willow' tree in the entrance room (Belfalas) and really would like to make a garden house. Is there any thought about making yard decos for inside like trees and bushes? I mean, we have an aquarium house why not a garden house.

I know it's probably some work but still... basically we want mostly everything what's not for yards to be able to be placed on yards, and what's not allowed for interiors to be able to be placed in interiors. Yard banners in interiors. Decorative stairs on yards. Yard property guards in interiors. Yard decos, smaller ones and middle-sized, in interiors. A middle-sized piece of Cardolan wall to be allowed for interiors (it's basically a decorative wall, after all!). Etc etc...
Not sure what's the difference in the data, if there is any, and why there is still such a huge separation between "just yard!" and "just interior!" with newer items. Size clearly doesn't matter... if the stairs can be interior, almost anything can be (I mean, other than these huge buildings and towers...)

I'd argue that even huge yard items could be used for interior designs by creative players. Just like the world builders take large assets like giant boulders and bury most of them under the 'ground' level leaving just the fancy top of it exposed you could use a huge yard item like a tower and sink it most of the way down in the floor leaving just the peak of the tower exposed. If restrictions are going to be lifted then why go through the arduous process of trying to pick and choose which restrictions to keep and which to eliminate?

Actually its possible to place outdoor items indoor.
There was a new Cardolan housing items, that initially could be placed indoor, but they changed it with the latest update.
Im curious why SSG does not just make a universal hook for all housing items, since its proven possible. I want to place more trees indoors.
The hook consolidation you did recently was great, Scenario, but we can consolidate further. When I can embed my chandelier in the floor and have tables flying in the air, there's clearly no real difference between a ceiling slot and a furniture slot anymore, other than as a suggestion to the novice interior decorator. And why is there a floor slot just for rugs when it behaves just like a furniture slot? I have a zillion floor slots and only a handful of interesting rugs to put in them. If they all got turned into furniture slots, that would expand some possibilities. Also quite a few yard items that should be placeable indoors, and vice versa, but I imagine that could take a while to go through them all. Either way, thanks for your work so far and Happy New Year!

There are many plants you can use indoors, if you go to the Decodumilieu website & search under categories "Flower", "Flower Pot" or type "Tree", you will find a very big list of items that you can use to create your Green House. https://en.dcodumilieu.fr/search/

I recall when Belfalas was done was before the housing revamp that gave more freedom on positioning decoration & no slots kinds consolidation yet. Either way the 1st premium houses set a huge milestone on LOTRO housing changes, well welcome. There is always space to upgrade, but even with its current limitations, Belfalas house are still my favorites. I recall that you mentioned not so long ago, the desire to make decorative walls paint enable on some future update & i hope you find the way. It will make customizing & matching wall colours way easier. Who knows... maybe while working on the decorative walls you figure the default walls too.

Have been there, lots of trees but none for inside. Flowerpots etc. are so small, they barely cover a square and we just don't have the hooks to place enough to make it look good. No bushes or statues either. I know spring festival has a few items but I don't like that, so don't play it that much and the dungeons in Gundabad have some eerie flowers but that's RNG drops which hate me. And again, not big stuff. I can't decorate outside because the hooks go out of the "save" area if I move the items to much, so what I did in my house yard just doesn't work outside.
I appreciate everything Scenario has done for housing, there is so much more freedom and hooks in premium. My dream though is universal hooks or items.

I looked at it when you posted it. This is what I call eerie plants. I'm more thinking along the lines of the Houses of Healing in Gondor. We also see lots of inside statues, they just added some in Erebor. I find the firepits in Erebor housing terrible and covered them with the big dwarf platforms sunken in but not enough hooks to fill the open space. I prefer small rooms with lots of hooks over large rooms where the same number of hooks still looks barren. That's where the deco walls come in handy. The floors are really nice instead of carpets and we have so much more variety there.

The gondorian style planters already exist, can be acquired during Spring festival & are usable both on furniture & yard slots. The only problem they have is the devs made them too small (for the former thin furniture slots). I have pointed that out on other threads, asking the devs to please make those planters bigger (like 2 or 3 times its current size).

I stayed with the ivy and trees this festival. Spring is not a festival I like and therefore it's hard to get the currency. I visited the Last homely House and while I don't like the new courtyard, I really would love to have the trees and stone planters they put in there. One of the biggest problems is the inconsistency. I understand that going back to change hook designations might need a long time (funny though that mobile yard could be added to every yard item for Erebor housing) but new items should really be designated for all hooks. The Anorien Entryway is a good example of that. We have the Gundabad throne, an enormous item that covers a whole room for inside but can't get bushes and statues less than half that size.
