Will Valar be on sales in LOTRO store soon?

As I remember, the Valar package has not been on sales in LOTRO store since Summer last year. In the past, Valar regularly had 20-25% off with the same cycle like other items (around 2-3 months).

As much as I wish that would happen I think those valars sale days are long gone . SSg has switched its sales tactics now . Instead of offering the valars at 20 or 25% off , they much rather push the exp content sales We have seen the last couple months where the 120 valar is sold in the MM exp and the 130 is sold in gundabad . That way ssg gets actually money for the valars . Instead of us being able to purchase the valars with our hard earned Lps . With the 15th anniversary coming out in a couple months , that would be the prime time for a valars sales But I think we will never see those again .

I don't think SSG really understood the value of valars when they put them up for 75% off two times in a row last year. I remember people were rep farming new toons using the skirmish barterers to get enough LP to buy valars for free, and several people just hoarded dozens of them.

They need to be careful how they discount such a powerful item. Valars literally let you bypass the entire game, but not just that, they grant you all your trait points which are some of the most painful grinds in this game. On top of that, they give you a massive pool of transferable virtue XP. This is the #1 reason why people hoard valars when they go on sale, they enable you to completely skip the virtue grind for any character, even one that the valar wasn't used on.

They need to find a better balance. I 100% get that valars are important especially for people who want to have multiple alts, but when they go crazy with the sales they run the risk of undermining all the effort that regular players put into this game.

I would really rather SSG spend some time looking into the VXP and trait point grind for alts and making that much less daunting, then limiting the scope of the valar to let you get to end game quickly, not use it to beef up all your level cap characters virtues when you didn't bother to play the game.

Based on previous Valar sales and when they happened, they will probably go on sale during the summer sales that co-incide with the midsummer fest, the black friday sales for a week around Thanksgiving, or one of the Yuletide sales weeks.

I believe the LAST valar sale was in summer 2022 during the mid-summer fest for 35% off, so I would look out for the summer sales this year....

I thought they skipped Valar sales entirely last year but I may well have missed something. Clearly Valar sales have been greatly reduced if not totally eliminated - much like Mithril Coins.

Oddly enough they just went on sale although not one of the special sales - just 20% off.
