    Bear taunt nerf

    This was a terrible change in U35.1. As per release notes this is a temprary change, but based on what has been done to LM previously, I'm not confident at all this being a temporary but will be left as is in the future. Could some blue name confirm what are the intentions with this and the timeline fixing it properly?

    As of now the the taunt has changed a lot and gives much less protection to a squishy LM.

    I've used it regularly when fighting solo against bosses. When timed properly (typically after LS or some other powerful skill) you can keep fighting with lesser skills and be able to keep the aggro on the bear for a while and get the boss morale low enough before engaging with him again face-to-face. But now you cannot fire any skills or it will break the taunt right away and boss is on you again. You cannot even fight against addons with AoE without first pulling them far enough from the boss to avoid breaking the bear taunt.

    I'm not saying this is not doable anymore, but it certainly makes these fights slower and more tactical, since you cannot just nuke them down anymore. LM doesn't have the best DPS and cannot tank by itself either, so bear was filling the spot nicely so that LM was able to use the most the limited DPS potential it had.

    They nerfed the bear taunt because of the new 6-man Sagroth, Lair of Vermin. If done right you could tank with the bear which prevented the boss from doing most of its mechanics which made the fight way easier than intended.

    The solution then would have been to make that one boss immune to taunt skills from non-player units. Make it a buff on the boss so that people wouldn't need to read release notes to know that this specific boss is immune to that specific effect. Or make all instance bosses in 6-person and larger instances immune to taunt skills from non-player units.

    A Blue Lore-master especially has a lot of class trait points invested in improving combat pets. So when a big nerf like this is applied it affects the Blue spec far more than the others, effectively nerfing all those class traits as well.

    Wise solution: Put buff on most of bosses to protect them from CC and pet agro
    SSG solution: just remove mecahnic everywhere and decrease value of LM. Why LM can't agro regular trash mobs in instance with bear? Have no sense.

    Even wiser chnage

    Put "no combat summon" debuff in along with the rstrictions on D/F and flop. Leave bear threat etc alone. Is then a calculated risk/skill test to do if you need it.

    Means you need to do a little more pre fight planning on which pet to use.
