That was a great way to start a dev diary.

Well, in my case, I'm really happy that you designed the Rune-Keeper and I'm definitively looking forward to play one. Thank you very much!!!

Kinda funny to post info on the 50+ rune keeper when no one (besides beta people) has one yet and you haven't finished the other classes yet. Still, some info is always better than no info!

    Sounds quite interesting...

I agree, I would like to say how great the changes are but... 8)

I am VERY torn between creating and rolling a RK, and getting my Captain and Hunter some legendary weapons! Choices, choices!

Just do both...at the same time.
    When there's a shield, there's a way.

Love the healing attunement-based skills, hate the DPS-based skills. Stormy nature and chilling rhetoric sound more like bad puns than names of the Valar, to me. I would advocate a more weapons-based for DPS -- using the words as support for more "magical" looking attacks -- since rune-stones didn't exist in Middle-earth as valid weapons.

Even so, the healing-attunement is fine -- "Our Fates Entwined" sounds like it was inspired by a Tolkien "theme" and might actually change the gameplay a little.

On the topic however, unlike my other classes that will "Dual-Spec" in 99% of situations, I can definitely see going with a 3/2/2 spec for the RK just to maintain diversity. The heals may not be as big or responsive and the DPS may not be as high as most... but I'll beat anyone in the turns.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

They may have lost you but they still have me.

So again, thank you very much Turbine for this new class.

Seeing the RK in action has brought back 'something' i have unknowingly been missing since I started playing this game. The infamous sith-lightning may be a little too 'evil' for the good guys to be using it (IMO) but ... screw it ... its going to feel sooooo good to finally be able to do that kind of stuff again. ooooo yeah ... thank you Turbine ... just hook the magic straight to my veins!

So Rune Keeper is also heavily fire damage based like the Lore Master?
One of the main complaints I hear about Lore Masters is that they have a greatly reduced effectiveness against mobs that have high fire resists such as Drakes.

Also the 'storm' related skills certainly share a strong base with the existing Lore Master.

I think I would keep towards the LM with Sword/Staff and similar abilities instead of the RK with no melee ability but higher healing output.
