April Fool's Day events?

To my bewilderment and amuzement, I, like everyone, got the April Fool's day title at midnight EST. I will be travelling and way from the game all weekend, so if someone could post what the April Fool's day special events/items are, that would be cool.

Word is it may just be the Chicken Play in the moors again too, so if that's it then disregard.

I got a mail that says talk to a town crier, but it won't let me read the letter to start the quest. :-( Seems to work on Bullroarer though. Weird.

They have confirmed chicken play will not be back....no word yet on any other pranks. But I did receive the fox/hen letter in the mail along with the title 'April Observer'. The letter says "using that item has no effect" when I click on it.

I've noticed I am not getting credit for the Titles I have been earning since midnight. I assume this is part of the April Fool's event.

What titles? I was playing through the Lone Lands to get the Eglain rep (just for the sake of having it) and got the associated titles for Friend and Ally from deeds.

Bug it! If they broke something as severe as deeds not finishing, it needs to be fixed ASAP.

I received nothing of this sort on any of my characters. I was on my main at midnight EST and nothing happened, but she was lucky enough to get the Fool title last year after an April 6 server meltdown (the quest came back for a few minutes after Landroval was restarted).

Did you complete the final quest from the Bounders/secondary Shirriff for that title? It doesn't come right away, you have to complete a special quest in order to obtain the title and the rewards.

That's why. It looks like if you already have Fool, you're not eligible for April Observer and won't get the (disabled anyway) quest in the mail again.

I have new toons that did not exist last year on April 1, and they did not get the deed when I logged them in today. Nor do any of them have the note for the quest in the mail.

Same here... Mayapple wasnt around last year at April 1st. No title and no mail.

Same here, if that was the joke they should have had a Tell the Community thread to get better ideas

It wasn't a joke it was an error. For some reason the quest partially enabled at midnight. The emails should not have been sent as there is nothing you can do with them. We disabled it fully once we saw what was happening. Sorry about that.

Kind of like the Filikul event turtles in Moria Waterworks (1-3 levels higher than anything else there) randomly turning on after every other server update/restart?

I hope the error was part of the joke, or else it points to something else being a joke.
