Why do creeps win lotterys?

I have noticed for sometime that your monster character is available for lotto, why is this? Then if someone hits auto check there creep will be entered and could possibly take (example)1/15 lottery prizes and never be able to use it and that leaves someone else out that DOES have access to a mailbox and didn't get it because a creep did. WHY not fix this?

Probably because it is not an easy or simple fix.

Apparently Turbine did try and fix it. The result was that some people with creeps could not enter lotteries. That was the situation I was in. Turbine took my creep and my freeps out of the lottery list. Turbine ended up turning the lotteries completely off for a while.

Yeah, I usually remember to go in and uncheck all of my creeps....simpler to go uncheck the 3 creeps than check the 3x number of freeps to enter...

It's on our list to fix; briefly, the data has proved to be shifty. Initially, we could key off a particular set of data to filter out creep/session characters. That worked until we altered how the underlying data worked. This caused them to appear again until we updated the lottery code. This update worked for awhile.

Now, they are appearing again; why? I can't say yet other than, hello... creeps are evil!
