Delete own bug report

I made a bug report last night on something that I was positive was a problem. Learned about an hour later that I'm a complete idiot. It would be nice if we could delete our own bug reports so nobody else has to look into the issue and rediscover my foolishness

Unfortunately in order to do that we would need to open up the bug forums to the players, and for obvious reasons we can't really do that.

It's okay, though, we here in QA understand mistakes.

Would it be possible to at least give us the bug number when we report bugs?

Right now we don't have any handle of referring to our own bug reports.

Don't feel bad, I once bug reported the 'incorrect' dialogue of those party goers in Lothlorien because I hadn't picked up the quest yet that explained it. I did mention in my report something like 'unless they're supposed to be drunk'. lol

Understandable It's okay if you all have a good laugh at my expense too, my mistakes tend to be glaringly obvious in retrospect!

If their bug tracking system is anything like any of the ones I have used, there's a code where they can close it as "working as designed" or something equivalent. It is common for testers to enter as bugs things that aren't bugs.

Think of it this way... when the engineer read your bug report, he/she got to poke the person at the next desk and say "we got a live one"! They probably had a fun laugh. Or someone got to say "I told you this quest would generate bug reports!" Think of it as making their day.
