Website shows winning entry; have not received items

Two of my toons are listed as having won goodies yesterday but when I logged them it looks like the mailman must have left them somewhere else for safe keeping.

im not totally sure, but it could be because they might not be automated? like for example.

you might win a lottery, but a person at turnbine has to manually send you the items?

its just a thought that might happen.

I cant complain a ton. Ive won 3 other lottos in the last month (and I dont sign up for the sub-par ones). But when I really could use some top tier relics, it stinks that a F2P glich costs someone who has been paying to play for almost 2 years.

Well with that said its good bye to lotteries It is unfortunate that we have no way of claiming our winnings and that this SNAFU is due to F2P. No lotteries because of free to play and we can't help you because we r too busy with free to play and u didn't get your items because we caused the system to glitch due to server maintenance for the up coming free to play....blah blah blah

I agree. I've been in the game since December 2007. Being dismissed due to F2P bugs is rather unacceptable.

Same happened to me my daughters character won the following and nothing i submitted a ticket in game which was closed without any reason. Now this was a big lotto win for my character really disapointed and the chances of winning again are slim or sure junk not something nice like this... Another question This lottery has been running months surely if thats in beta shouldnt you get that right and released before even considering launching F2P or other projects.. I always tell my kids if your going to do a job right then do it correct, i know issues will happen from time to time but the winners have proof so surely we can not be held responsible for downtime and system issues.. Now i understand in game we accidently loose something or destory something you have no refund type replacement system but this is nothing like that.. Sorry for the whine just i so look forward to this lotterys and never usually win and to see this on my daughters character was so pleased for her now i have to explain this.

Quoted for the truth (red text) It seems Turbine prefers live testing, instead of private until it's out of beta. I read here recently the lotteries will be offline while FTP launches etc. I suspect they won't come back anytime soon. I wonder why they won't pay out as it were, the items are imaginary so what would the harm be? Just tell your daughter that the game isn't perfect and has problems, and mistakes happen. Hopefully she'll understand.

To WB/Turbine, now is the time to shine better than you ever have before. You want as many loyal players as possible to make the transition of new FTP players as smooth as possible. This may seem trivial, but future players are watching this and other threads, and making decisions based on what they are reading.

This whole topic is very disheartening. It honestly seems like the only reason the lotteries still have the *beta* tag is so that Turbine has the excuse not to support them because "they're in beta". Well, I bet that if one of my characters won a celebrimbor lottery and for some reason was mailed 10 instead of 1, they would *support* that function of the beta program right quick.

So the policy of "not replacing lost items" applies here because why? You scheduled the time for the lottery to go off, AND scheduled the time that you did your maintenance. So none of us get our lottery winnings... and your policy makes that our fault. We "lost or misplaced" items we never received. I'm sorry if I think that's ****. A huge load of ****.

Considering the Hevensday lottery in question had double the winners it usually has, and you won with that change, doubling that again would probably make your odds all the better.

The Lottery is considered beta, and it has always been our policy to not refund lost, misdirected, or other vanished winnings...

Guess what- it didn't work. But I could have told you it wouldn't. I still have 0 relics from the lottery.

Why constantly push this lottery if it's not ready for prime time? You all keep apologizing for inconveniences- but it's all the little disappointments that keep adding up and become increasingly hard to swallow, and the lack of follow-up just adds insult to injury.

I've never won anything, ever, except junk. I was so happy when i see that i won hevensday lotto, i logged on immediately and found nothing in my mail. I sent a ticket and they gave me the link of this subforum.

Doubling the prize was a terrible solution, cuz guess what? i haven't won anything at all, and i believe many winners couldn't win again either. How is this a solution? And the sad part was, while i was playing, i recieved some mails, i thought turbine found a way to fix this and made customers happy (instead of their aweful solution). I opened my mail........ales, pipeweed and fireworks.

Whoever responsible of this, needs to restudy computer programming (cuz it cant be hard to resend the prizes to the winners) and public relations (cuz you cant ignore this kind of stuff and get away with very bad solutions, it makes you lose customers and their loyalty. proof? i'm a very dissatisfied and disheartened customer atm).

Totally agree with you cnrsnl, the double prize was a poor solution that does nothing to address my disappointment (yeah I didn't win anything in round 2!).

5 pages on this post + several new threads of folks with similar sentiment apparently still not enough to have support/lottery dev consider working together to offer some good will here!

Hey guess what "we have doubled the chances" yeah right did my toons win anything after my daughters toon didnt recieve the heavensday win, of course not i knew that was customer service Fluff!! So all this experience has left me with is a bitter taste when you win with heavensday or highday lottos thats like epic for a character so time to move on and forget this and pray this never happens to anyone else..

My worry now is F2P store buy something from that and dont get it after paying real cash and the support response will be "Tuff mate sorry" or "Its still in beta" responses and they instantly delete any tickets. I wont be using the store not now, i thought Turbine was better than this and looked after its customers they used to years ago with Asherons Call.

Make sure you enter all the lotteries this weekend because this is the last weekend for lotteries for a while. With Free to Play launch looming and much work to be done, the lotteries with be taking a break for several weeks.

i did enter the lottery for august 29th and won on all my toons and got nothing. yet my hubby got all his winnings???? i think we should get our winnings. its only fair. since we are paying for the game, why shouldn't we expect our winnings?

Oh well, it says that I won a symbol last night, so I feel better, but only slightly because I honestly don't trust that when I go home tonight it will actually be there.
