Id like to include Item Icons that when you hover over them you get stats. I believe you use some sort of 'Special:itemname" or something, but it doesn't seem to work, any suggestions or walk throughs?

If you are looking specifically at tooltipped icons in the Lorebook, you should consult The Official XML Tags Guide. If you want to have tooltipped icons on your own external site, consult Sapience's guide on using our Lorebook tooltip library.
Hope that helps.
Niether of those methods are accomplishing what I want to do. I insert the XML code but it shows the code instead of the icon. I think I am doing it wrong. If you look at Missy Tailoring guide she has the hides listed in Icon form:

I want to accomplish just that but I dont know what to enter under the special properties.

Re-ni-AN-nen - strayed (ppt. of renia- 'to stray')
Aeled Reniannen, Defender of Middle-earth ~ Nendhiniel, Forge-Warden : Captain and Wardenette from [EN-RP] Laurelin
Fluffrash, Blade of Barashish ~ Nathraen, Conqueror of Towers : Warg Puppy and Spider Tailor from the darker side thereof
Faradwen, Swift-Arrow : Huntress from [EN-RE] Landroval
As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

For the Lorebook, you first need to get the ID of the thing you want to link to and have a tooltip pop up when you mouse over it. The below instructions are based on the assumption that you are already logged into the Lorebook.
Let's use the Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet as an example. You go to that page on the Lorebook and then click on the "Edit" link. Likely, the rich editor is active; wait for the content to load into the editor and then click the "Disable Rich Editor" link.
Once the rich editor is gone, you should see a block of code like this:
Code:<noedit> <seo title="Item DB: - Items - Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet" metak="lotro, Lord of the Rings Online, wiki, database, Lorebook, LOTR, Middle-earth, Tolkien, Item DB: , Items , Peerless Turtle,shell Bracelet,Bind on Equip,Bracelet,Jewellery" metad="Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet: A strong bracelet created from the shell of a turtle." /> <official type="game"> <item id="1879153827" name="Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet" /> </official> [[Category:Bind on Equip|Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet]] [[Category:Bracelet|Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet]] [[Category:Jewellery|Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet]] </noedit>
The bit you are after is this
The ID for the bracelet is 1879153827. You can now go to your article and edit it to include the XML tag for it. Again, you will need to turn off the rich editor to do this.Code:<item id="1879153827" name="Peerless Turtle-shell Bracelet" />
To have an icon link to the bracelet with a mouseover tooltip, you insert this bit of text into your article:
This tells MediaWiki you want to render the "Icon" view of the "Item" that has ID "1879153827". The Official XML Tag document outlines the various types of things you can use -- items, recipes, etc. -- and what views they accept -- link, icon, etc.Code:<item id="1879153827" view="icon" />
got it to work. Thank you!
just a side note, The Barrow-Iron ore page and the dawn-rose page are both completely blank, I wasn't able to retrieve item numbers on either of them.
