Cloak of Durin's Crown has wrong color applied after update.

The Cloak which has been around since MoM pre-order has always been a royal purple and gold, after the most recent update, the purple areas are now a washed out olive drab color.

Are you sure you didn't dye it? I've got mine dyed. One has it in red and another wears it in green. Both of theirs looked fine when I logged in on them.

Nope. I've been running it with the royal purple default since I got it.

I just logged in, destroyed it, and did a /reclaim and still the olive drab. So maybe dyes stay applied but the default colors got screwed up.

I hate when they make senseless changes like that. I used to have a cool cloak with a bunny rabbit on the back and after an update it was changed to looked like the Annuminas rep cloak that I already had

Are you sure this is intentional? Sounds like a bug to me.

That is really sad. I love this cloak. I do not have it myself, but I have enjoyed seeing it on others.

Sounds like a bug, my Beserkers helm on my champ is dyed Navy but since the patch now appears to be white. So there may be a few issues with dyes and some items.

Any items that changed appearance or colour with the update I would go ahead and /bug them all.

How do we know? It may very well be that it's a bug. And if it's not a bug, then at least you're letting them know that you don't appreciate them making these kinds of unannounced changes.

I have the same experience with my guardian, who has been wearing the same cloak for years -- it's now a color that does not complement my armour! I think I can dye it indigo and have it look right; however, why should I have to?

As for the bunny rabbit cloak (Golodir's I believe), that is something that Turbine did to differentiate the cloaks (which were a book chapter reward) after many people had already completed and received. There were many protests, as some people had chosen that cloak specifically for it's appearance, and if memory serves, it was reversed to the way it was originally. Of course, if you destroyed or sold it in the meantime, tough luck! I think you might be able to get one with the same appearance from a skirmish vendor, but I'm not sure.
