    Rune-Keepers Question.

Hello, i made a dwarf rune-keeper this morning. Just wondering if its the right decision. You can make either an Elf Rune-keeper or a Dwarf Rune-keeper. Just wondering which i could benefit more out of?
    Leave your thoughts below!

    Thanks

6 of one ... half-a-dozen of the other.

It's primarily a cosmetic choice. The racial differences mostly even out at higher levels, especially for a non-weapon class like RK. If you like your dwarf, have fun with it!

A good rule of thumb is, if the class allows you to be a hobbit, be a hobbit. If
hobbit isn't available, choose dwarf. Only choose elf when human is the only other
    available option.

Moving this to the Rune-keepers board, where I believe they can give you some great responses.

Actually, a dorf was the perfect choice. You see, it's all in your Sigil of Healing, or as I affectionately call it: HoTRock.

It's the perfect size for a dorf to lean against, set his tool-belt on, nap with his back against it, mark his territory at the local pub... you get the idea. What's more, its rough-hewn aesthetic appeals to the inner-pickaxe artist in all dorfs, even the loopy ones that decide to use this "majick" stuff. What elf would possibly be caught dead having to lay claim of making or being responsible for such a igneous dung-heap of a shape as the HoTRock?

Plus, it's just the beautiful cumulative total of the Ridiculous that weighs so heavily on the choice here:

    (Dorf Magic-user + Sith-lightning + Rideable Goats) * LoTRO lore-credentials = too bad to not be good.

Dwarves drink too much, so their healing skiils are substantially worse than Elves.

    It is pretty simple ...

If you want to play a male, pick dwarf - since all of them look male.

If you want to play a female, pick elf - since all of them look female.

Gameplay-wise, it doesn't really make much difference. AT LEVEL CAP, the racial skills and traits mean very little, and go unused much of the time. While levelling, the most useful elf skill would probably be Sylvan Shadows. Return to Rivendell has a little bit more usefulness because it's closer to the middle of the map than Thorin's Hall. On the other hand, Dwarves have some skills that help them be more durable during combat.

The bottom line though, is that it truly is cosmetic. There's no APPRECIABLE difference.
