Top navigation bar bizarre glitch

After logging into the forums a moment ago, I saw this odd graphic error at the top of my page.
(Weird overlapped text on the left side, as if the Kinship button has moved down a row)



Navigating to different forum areas, logging in and out, refreshing, etc don't seem to fix this. Neither does moving the cursor over different tabs.

Anyone else seeing this? And/or an explanation for what I might have done to help fix it?

It is due to them adding the New Player Info tab into an element that was to small to accept it, thus the My Kinships tab got pushed down one row into the area that the tab categories normally appear.

The fixed width of the main element restricts how large they can make the tab bar, and adding a new tab with such a long name just broke it out of its design.

Can you let me know if it's fixed for you now? I've shortened some of the names of the tabs.

My account is not attached to a game account so I don't have the Character or Kinships tabs, so I didn't realize I was pushing them over.

That worked for me Patience - shortening the names allowed everything to stick in the same element. Thanks much!

Yup, much better. I'm glad someone finally was able to look into it because the problem has been persistent since the new forums but was made worse with the new tab added today for New Players. I'm sure there were probably more important things to look at before getting to this, but this fix definitely makes my forums visit more pleasant.

This is what my navigation bar looks like and has since new forums went up. Most of the links up there are unclickable, probably because of overlapping.

Hrm... never seen that before under that configuration; run that at work and home with no issue. Are you running any sort of ad blockers, noscript, firewall, page altering extensions? Have you tried flushing your browser cache and reloading?

I have fixed this: apparently I had in my browser preferences minimum font size set to 16, which I changed to "none". It is fixed, but now it is too small for me to read comfortably. Oh well. Thanks anyway for the suggestions.

EDIT: I set minimum font size to 12 and it is fine...font size at 13 breaks it. I can read it at 12, so alls well.

Thanks for posting your solution. I had the same issue with Firefox text formatting on my.lotro & this fixed it. Same version of Firefox but with Windows 7. For anyone who needs it, in Firefox 3.6.13 the option is under Tools > Options > Content > Advanced.
