For the Glory of Angmar deeds - removed?

Why were the newish deeds "For the Glory of Angmar" (I think they got added in November?) removed from the game? Is it because you took most of the quests away from Taskmaster Forzunk and spread them out to some other orcs that are apparently very mad at bonfires?

Sure, it was dumb that there was a 3/day cap on the deeds when there were at least 5 quests...

... I think maybe that bear quest wasn't repeatable, I only recall getting it once...

...yeah most creeps don't care about PvE quests or deeds unless it helps with getting maps ...

...but it was something to do solo, it gave me hope that one day I might unlock ONE extra quest slot on my creep ...

... and I was actually making progress on Tier 3, getting close to the Titles I was interested in (Fiend & Horror). ::-[

I hope it's just a mistake, but it would also be nice if creeps could increase the quest cap with every 10 deeds or so, since there is a considerable shortage of deeds compared to free peoples, and almost every quest available to monster players is repeatable.

Yes they are gone. I spent a fair bit of time grinding these deeds for the titles and they have been deleted completely, nothing in the completed deeds, no titles, no remaining quests ect. We could have at least been compensated for the huge number of mats used for turn ins.

They're totally gone? i was sure I still had my Battlemaster title on . . .

On the other hand, they were listed as event titles . . .


But if they were a temporary event then nothing about this tiny detail was ever mentioned leaving us with fully valid justification to get on Turbine's back about it. I say we ask the fellow who wrote the PvMP Dev Diary what he knows.

I am pretty sure to get access to the quests you have to complete the two intro quests. Then they are available again. As for the title's not being available, not sure what happened with that.

Have you guys who have been affected by this submit a bug yet? If you haven't please drop by the bug submission page either in-game or out of game and submit as much information as you can about the problem. That type of stuff helps us track down issues like this and fix them.

Much like Charlie Brown, I continue to believe that one day Lucy is going to let me kick that football, so I do still submit bug reports about PvMP.

This still isn't on the known issues list. I imagine that something as big as removing an entire chain of deeds and their associated titles would have been documented somewhere, if it was intended.

Yep, it disappeared on the old EU servers too

I, for one, grinded all the way to 'High Battle Master' title and it looked superb on my cute Warg only to now see all that hard work was for nothing.

If they don't return the quests and re-instate it to wherever you left off then they should give back all the mats you had used to gain those titles or give back the amount in cash if the mats we ever sold.

I won't be grinding it again though

The deeds were removed as they were part of a now defunct promotion. The loss of titles seems to be a bug that we need to look into some more as the data suggests that the titles should still be found in the game.

I know all the players who patiently and persistently did their daily quests would appreciate getting their hard earned titles back, especially now that we know they were a limited-time deal. That makes them even more special.

How about turning the deeds back on during festival season, so creeps have some way to celebrate the change of the seasons in their own fashion? Namely cutting off Hobbit feet so they can't dance.

I don't remember these ever being announced as temporary "promotion" content, although I recall one of the developers (or patch notes) saying that creeps should visit the Taskmaster as he was offering some new quests. I always wondered why they were under "The Ranger's Offensive" when there wasn't any sort of event that I recall being associated with them. Was it part of the Mirkwood beta?

If I remember correctly, this chain of deeds and associated titles were added at the launch of free-to-play last fall. I don't recall it being mentioned as any sort of promotion, but I understand if it was a limited-time deed that just failed to get promoted properly by the marketing team.

This is all fail. I have been turning in these stupid quests for ages on Creep wondering how many more I needed for the next title (check my quest log Mr Turbine). Only just discovered this thread. I have over 1M DP so I was only ever doing it for the titles. I do not recall seeing anything about a time limited promotion.
