So a question I have regarding the rules for submission. Does the single unedited picture have to be of one single costume?

The reason I ask is that the character cosmetic I'd like to submit is not a single cosmetic, but rather it depends on all of my cosmetics on that character. If fact that is the key to the genius of it all. Would it be against the rules of submission to have 6 cropped screenshots of 6 different cosmetics on the same character in the same picture all side by side, and therefore showing the overall purpose of the cosmetics, that do not make sense on their own?

First, great idea! It's nice to see that the "game in the game" that is outfitting gets some love from Turbine. Also, congrats on Devonna, Freyjuska and Hymne for this recognition of their talent and hard work! I guess the Yule contest is the inspiration behind this one, and the spotlight on your blogs is well deserved.

Now, I have a few questions regarding the contest. I guess they are going to sound stupid, but English isn't my first language so I want to make sure I understood the rules correctly.

    1 -
Each user can enter a single one of the four categories (listed below) twice.
Does that mean that if I submit an entry to, say, the "Fashion in Motion" category, then I can't submit other entries to the other three categories - we must choose just one amongst the four? And does "twice" mean "two screenshots of the same outfit" or can we submit two different outfits to a category?

    2 -
Formal Extravagance: Not every ensemble needs to be created with armor. This category is for those luxurious clothing combinations that are more suited for a party under the light of the moon. The winner of this category will receive the title “Extravagant in Starlight 2012” on the LOTRO Forums.
Err... The "party under the moon" part and title got me confused, is this just a metaphor to say that this category is for any kind of festive/fancy outfits, or is the "moon and stars" thing actually the theme of the contest?

(I hope this thread is the right place to ask questions and have them answered)

    I also have a question...

Fashion In Motion: Entries in this category should be taken while on horseback! Color coordinate with your horse and ride through Middle-earth in style! The winner of this category will receive the title of, “Galloping Beauty 2012” (female) or “Dashing Stallion 2012” (male) on the LOTRO Forums.
Does the gender of the awarded title depend upon the gender of the CHARACTER in the winning screenshot, or upon the gender of the PLAYER who submits the winning screenshot? Kind of random, I know, but females do play male characters and males do play female characters.

Yes, the submission should be one unedited screenshot. We're looking for your best in-game outfits.

This sentence means that you can enter each category up to 2 times. So, you could submit 2 different outfits to each of the 4 categories -- resulting in 8 entries. You can, however, only win one category.

Well, you can take that however you wish to take it. If you wish to use that idea as a theme, by all means go ahead! However, you're free to enter the category as you choose.

I'll ask whoever wins the category which title they'd like to receive. I just thought it would be nice to have two titles for that one, as having one or the other would seem a little biased to a single gender.

If there are any more questions, I'd be happy to answer them!

That sounds like a great way to work it, thanks for the prompt reply!
