I think this is actually a good idea, Strip First age items that are currently in game FROM the game, and give those people a 2nd age symbol and 2000 turbine points to compensate, that's what I would do.

Turbine, if you seriously think that you're fooling everyone (and I am certain that some may be fooled) that this was not WAI from release up until this patch you're mistaken.

You made exactly the same "mistake" with BG. Fool me once......etc. I'm not clear on what your strategy is here but I have a few ideas.

To what end though? Perhaps to boost server traffic for first month of launch to prove something to some exec? I don't know, but its a kick in the teeth for the player base.

I'm sure many people feel so much more smug about their FA now. Far more worthy than the labeled "undeserving" ones. Better to keep these lower beings in their place and under the boot where they belong, because only the deserving get FA drops, and not the people that run 100+ raids.

The Ego of some knows no limits. Why stop at T1? Why not T2? How about having to complete every deed and T2CM in the whole of middle earth for a chance? That should weed out the noobs, right?

Yeah, of course. And lose all the scrolls of Empowerment, Item XP, Star-lit Crystals, Relics, the Crystal of Remebrance and a Scroll of Delving in the process ... and of course their previous Second Age items they deconstructed after finishing their shiny new First Age item. Brillant idea - make it so.

I dont, just imagine how long it would take in order to get your 2000 points, ppl are already having trouble getting the points from the extended maintenance... Also some folks actually completed BfE 100+ before having the luck with an FA symbol. Would just feeel wrong to remove it.

If I were head of Turbine I wouldn't even remove T1 Fa symbols at this point since the damage is already done. If I did remove them I'd atleast increase drop rate in T2.
