Account name password doesn't match ?

This si the message I get when I try to log in the game (and I know about the case sensitive), filled a "forget password" and havent received the e-mail.

Also for some reason my account name/pass seems to work on the forums (I think they are botht he same or I might be wrong) ?

Same here, but after about the 10th time of typing the same password it went through, also could not log into my turbine account management page kept getting some kind of socket error. seems like things are really falling apart at turbine

Oh thank God it is not just me! And yes, my password gets me into the forums clearly.. they are the same. Not sure what is going on here..
Currently I am sitting on hold on the phone and I keep getting a message that their call volume is higher than normal. If that is the case, perhaps a mass of people are trying to contact them with the same issue.

EDIT, and I received the socket error when trying to log into myaccount as well.

Thank the lord not just me, I grow exasperated with the bugs!!!! It must be a nightmare programming and running such a massive game and hats off to their technical skills and knowledge...............pity the cant properly de-bug the system!

I'm having the same issue as well, though the login finally went through after about 15 tries or so... :O Now I'm afraid to log out or else I won't be able to log back in!!! :O:O:O

same here. and guys from our kinship too. i hope they are going to solve it soon as its scaring me out :P i checked myaccount if i could log in there and didnt find info about any subcription or purchased packs there, all disappeared :P i better log in and see everything's all right soon.

edit: im in now.. phew! *wipes sweat* in whiles like this i realize what an addict i've become rofl!

I had the same problem but not as bad as the previous people in this thread. I tried logging in and it said the password or user id was wrong. Then about the 3rd time I tried it, it worked but the system is sloooooow today. So perhaps it's not your caps lock that is on, or something... Perhaps I will do better in the game than I did whilst trying to log onto the software.

I just got off the phone with Turbine. They are aware of the issue, it is definitely on their end, and they are trying to resolve it.

I am having this problem too. It does it in about 1 of 15 logins.

Looks like Withywindle is also having problems as it gets stuck in "Getting in line to connect".Well, after20-30 seconds it says "Failed to queue". Imladris works perfectly.

I got the same message about account information not matching, or existing, but then I noticed that for some reason the log in had capitalized my user name. I changed it back to lower case and I logged in, but the last server entered was reset, and I couldn't get into the game anyway. Three times so far I get to the loading screen, the last screen before the game comes up, it sits there for two or three minutes, and then I get an error telling my there was a problem accessing my account information, try again or contact support or something like that. OK button, hit it and closes the game.

I guess fourth time was the charm got into the game now, took normal amount of time.

I am getting several things. One is the account name and password doesn't match. One is that that account does not exist, and the last, the dreaded not able to queue. Right now, the launcher is hung up on Getting in Line to Connect. Sigh....

As I posted before in the Launcher Seems to Be Down thread, Do NOT Log completely out! You may not be able to log back in to play.

This hasn't happened to me in LotRO at all, but it happens every time in the AC2 beta.

Here's what happens:

I click on the launcher, type in my loginid, type in my password, and get an error message saying there is no account by that name. And the launcher closes.

Here's how I get around it:

I open the launcher, type in my loginid, and go down to the button that says "Maintain My Account." I click on that and get the accounting screen. I type my loginid, and my password, and go through the stupid Captcha routine. I then get a screen showing my LotRO and AC1 accounts.

I can now go back to the launcher and log in, and will be able to log out and back in again for the rest of the day, or until I shut down the computer (which is usually the same time).

I have no idea whether this will work for LotRO too, but you could try it. Bring up the launcher, click on "Account" at the top of the window, log in there, and see if you can now log into the game.

And let me know whether it works, okay?

Well, if im lucky i can log in, but if im not stuck at "validating credentials" (lucky again) im stuck at load screen when "enter ME" button pressed. After couple of minutes - connection lost. Problem with my "home" server - Gilrain. I can play on Snowy and Withy.

'Fraid not. I am getting a variety of different errors, including, "username/password mismatch", "unable to find a subscription", u"nable to contact server" (once I am in the login queue). it seems to be random.

Hmm. Just managed to login after a bunch of attempts over the last 10 minutes.

Looks like some sort of intermittent comms issue to me.

Edit: Lasted about 5 minutes and now losing connection to the game server intermittently.

Make sure the loader isn't capitalizing part of your user name. Mine did that, gave my first letter a O instead of o, changed it, logged in.
